CMC Boat Carpet Glue: desertcart.com: Industrial & Scientific Review: Good choice for boat carpet glue :) + - This carpet glue sticks like howdy! It spreads easy too. I am still working on the boat installing new decks and carpet so I have no long term feedback. What I can tell so far is this glue should work out fine for boat carpet. Being as it says on the bucket for marine carpet I can only assume it is water proof. Washing your hands after you finish for the day the stuff does come off with warm water and soap but it peels off your skin and does not dissolve so I am thinking it is water proof. Update I had to peel off the carpet glued down with this adhesive on one of my hatches, one to go, to remove some edge material so it will fit a bit looser. The ordeal reminded me of skinning a frozen deer, tough job. The glue held fast to the carpet pile fibers causeing the backing material to be removed while the pile stayed put. Paint stripper works well to remove this and other carpet adhesives. Yep, sticks like howdy!
