Decent sub for the price
If plugged into Fluance speakers, the cross over is 80 hz. Sub hits nice between 80 and 45 hz. Starts to trail off under that, 40 Hz is okay, but by 35 and 30, it can't punch that low. It advertises 38Hz, so I think spot on and delivers as promised. Fits that punchy bass as most people call it. Need to break in more for better results, as probably only at that 15 hour mark, with this review. For $200, have to recommend. The walnut and black looks great and great budget amp and driver. Packaging and delivery to the Midwest for me was outstanding. Great for an office or smaller room, where you probably wont have the room acoustics for anything nicer anyways and you'll just be wasting money on something nicer. For theater rooms, it could work I suppose if your really on budget.

Completes my 5.1 setup. Previous large subwoofers don't sound as good as this.
Sounds great. I've come to own two subs previously that seem like they have been blown out. I finally had enough and bought this to complete my Fluance speaker set. Switched it to 80hz and 70% volume in a decently sized room. Sounds great and added that much needed depth to my hifi setup. Powering it all is a JBL MA510, This and the complete Fluance speaker set look amazing in the living room and the wife approves. Great sounding bass. Won't need to upgrade my 5.1 set for some time now. Good for years. Thanks Fluance. Shipping took 3 days from Canada. QUICK

The best piece of audio equipment you didn't know you needed!
When I first got my speakers they sounded good, and I thought they had plenty of punchy, but clean bass. After awhile I felt like the bottom end could be better so I got this Fluance sub and it's exactly what was missing. I feel like it's an excellent "foundation" for my music and theater system. It's easy to setup, powerful, aesthetically pleasing and ported on the front so it can be placed out of the way near a wall, and who doesn't love a great bottom end!

Amazing addition to vintage system!
Wow! Added the DB10 to my vintage system and the added low frequency range makes it sound amazing. A great product from Fluance. One of the few sub woofers out there that allows for high level inputs straight from the speaker outputs on your vintage amp and the Auto On feature is an added bonus.

Inaccurate description
Great product just needs accurate description. It says it includes an RCA cable and it doesn’t. I had to order one separately after the fact

Within 24 hours of setting it up I knew... Fluance once again hit the mark!
A while back I started to build up my stereo system so I could finally listen to my vinyl again. I bought Klipsch RP600M speakers, the Fluance RT85 turntable, and paired it with an older Yamaha amp. Given the abuse my 63-year-old ears took decades ago this I knew I didn't want to blast my music (not to mention I don't need to annoy my neighbors (I live in a small apartment with neighbors on either side). I'd heard the Klipsch might be a bit 'bright' sounding (code for not super base?). And after about 2 weeks I saw that while the Klipsch has great detail and expansive sound stage I was forced to use the EQ to bring up the base on base centric music such as Mingus and Thundercat. So I went to the forums and asked for recommendations for a sub that sounded good a lower (40% range) volumes. Once the laughter subsided and a few 'That's an oxymoron man! you can't have both base and low volumes'. But I kept researching and eventually ran across this Fluance DB10W 10-inch sub. The price was right, it has a good set of controls and connection variety (important for my older amp). So I tried it. Within 24 hours of setting it up I knew I'd found what I needed and Fluance once again hit the mark! Thank you Fluance both for the turntable and the sub. (btw... at the risk of being a noob... what is 'Sheerness' I didn't give the sub a ratting on that because I don't know what it means, does it mean sharpness, definition, clarity, transparency, brightness... once again does the language of audio fall short? :) )

You’ll need a step down transformer if purchasing for a 240V country.
Excellent sub woofer paired with Fluance powered speakers. One vital thing to remember however, is that unlike the powered speakers and turntables Fluance has not built the DB10 with dual voltage rating ( 120V to 240V range). It’s just 120V. Therefore in 240V countries a step down transformer is required. My mistake was assuming all Fluance products were dual rated - so I rate the DB10 sub woofer based on my second purchase. I cooked the first one. At US$199 it is value for money. It get’s expensive when you add in the shipping cost when not in the ‘free delivery’ zone of USA and Canada which to Australia was more than the purchase price.

Another Winner From Fluance
We replaced our thumping, rumbling disaster of a subwoofer with this and just love it. I had to go fairly high with the volume, and standard 80hz crossover works great in my setup. It's a clean, unobtrusive bass that's great for music and excellent for movies as well. I highly recommend it!

I've had a fair bit of experience with 2 channel hifi systems over the years, using floor standing speakers most of the time. Putting togerther a new system with a 25 watt power amp and small bookshelf speakers, the bottom end of the frequency range was noticably missing. The stereo sounded flat. Connecting the DB10W to the speaker posts (no dedicated subwoofer output option available on my amp) my two channel system came to life, tranforming it into a rich hifi experience, when played at low volume which is my preferred way of listening. Charlie Haden's bass playing on Beyond The Missouri Sky sounds wonderful with the BD10W. For price to performance ratio the B10W is excellent.

Probably one the best quality subwoofers for the price. I recently had my old Pioneer receiver of 23 years stop working, and my Kenwoods (12 Inch Woofers) of the same age had been through many moves and parties and just weren't holding up. The Sony speakers I replaced them with only have 8 inch woofers and that low-end just wasn't there. I got the Fluance DB10 to fill those low ends and man was I impressed right out of the box. I am a bass fiend, most people probably would say I use too much, and this subwoofer has me thinking its got more than enough even for me. I've seen other reviews about the back plate getting hot, and someone else complaining about the rattle in the front speaker guard. I have not experienced either of these issues. I leave it on AUTO and it's only powered on when listening to music, which to be fair, may only be a few hours at a time. Maybe if it was left on all day, every day, I may notice the heat. I'm not getting any rattle, with or without the front guard on. I think it's plenty powerful enough compared to other subwoofers. Not sure what the complaints about the amplifier being weak are about, maybe they don't have it setup properly on the receiver side of things. Very happy customer. Next speaker purchase down the road will definitely be another set from Fluance.

Great subwoofer for the price I couldn't be happier. Great sound and bass control adjustments can be made directly from the subwoofer. I paired this sub with my Cerwin Vega floor and center speakers and it sounds good. It is not a Cerwin Vega by any means but for the price you are getting a good quality speaker.
