The length is what you order it, the width is about 3 inches but I would set the drain before you lay your floor in order to get the correct height for the finish drain

It seems like there is a loos fit for the threaded fitting and the metal outlet on the drain is that ok, and what type of glue for metal to abs?

There should be a groove for an O-ring inside the pvc part that the drain slides into, check to see if the groove is there with the O-ring. Mine fell out in shipping and was in the packaging plastic.

How do you glue the tile to the top? Does it adhere to mortar?
