Beautiful mounting block
This mounting block was a wonderful upgrade for our exterior lighting. Previously the vinyl siding had been cut in order for the light to sit flush against the house, which left gaps that insects were entering and building nests. Also, this probably would have been flagged upon home inspection. This block covered up the cuts and with a small bead of silicone around the block, gaps are now sealed to prevent insects from entering and it looks like a professional, classy installation. In our case the installation wasn't simple because the hole in the wood under our siding was too large to provide wood for screwing in the block. My husband had to add additional wood but most people probably wouldn't have this issue. The entire installation took about 1 hour but his second one will likely go much quicker!

Great fit on Dutch lap siding.
This was a great buy ! Very easy install and matches my double 4.5 Dutch lap siding profile. Made mounting my new led flood light easy.

Sturdy and well-designed
Very happy with the item. It's well-thought out and certainly sturdy. One star deducted for being overpriced -- at the end of the day it's a piece of plastic that could not have cost more than a dollar to manufactuer.

Great for security camera base!
I used this as a base for EUFY security cameras that we purchased. It make for a sturdier and visually aesthetic installation. Mounts easily over vinyl siding and self-leveling.

Works perfect on my siding
I got this to mount a light that didn't have the electrical housing on my sidinf. This works perfect to allow for flush light mount. Definitely recommend this. There is a little gap between siding but fixes with silicone. (To prevent water from getting behind. Only wish there was a built in rubber/ foam on the edges to make it water proof once installed on wall.
