Boys' Puffer Jacket with Down Fill

I have a 20-30th percentile son (of height and weight) who is 8. He typically where size 6 to 7 clothes. After reading the posts on here where it said these tend to run big, I opted for the "safe" size of 7. It is a bit small especially on the arm length. Maybe they figured kids for size 7s have T-Rex arms. Personally, I think for these kinds of jackets, the arm lengths need to be longer than normal. Also, it would not hurt to add links on the cuffs for gloves. Also, product mentioned down but it is mostly polyester (at 90%, I believe) with very little down. So, it is not quite as warm as "real" (mostly) down jackets. Then again, down jackets these days are rare (and not very PETA free in our PC world.)Overall, its ok. My son likes the colors.

My 6yo son is in love with this coat. He feels like he is wearing a sleeping bag (which is something he considers a plus). He is rarely cold at the bus stop in the Illinois winds and chills which is a plus for me. It fit as expected. The hood is very fitted to the head which keeps warmth in and cold out. My son has worn knit caps with the coat but finds them annoying with the hood up. That being said, he does not like constricted clothing. I also like that the length of the coat covers his bottom. Many winter coats can end right at the waistband, leaving a crack in clothing for wind to creep in. This coat is long enough that it prevents the winds from chilling my son but not so long that it is awkwardly sized. My son also loves the big zipper pockets which are pretty deep. They allow him to keep his gloves in there but does not appear bulky. Overall, we are very happy with this coat.

Was lucky to catch this coat on sale. This is such a well made down fill coat. Everything about it is nice. The hood is form fitting and has reflective material. The bodice and arms are downfill and made of a soft yet sturdy material. Its extremely warm. I bought a size up and it is a little big. But big enough to wear this year and next. My son is 4yr old. 38" tall, about 34lbs. Wears 4t top and 3t 4t pant.I say if your kid is in a true size then go a size up. If they are small for the size they are in then pick that same size.

This jacket is awesome! I would have paid $49 for it! It's not waterproof but it's nice and toasty. There are reflective patches on it that my son thinks is the coolest thing ever. He's two, 36" tall and weighs 30 pounds. I bought a size 4 which is big on him but wearable. This is a good "play with friends" coat and will fit nicely with a car seat (I always judge coats by warmth and how fat it is - what good is it if he can't wear it when we go for a car ride).Over all a great coat at an amazing price.

The description is misleading. This "down fill" jacket only has 10% down, the rest is synthetic fill.I bought this jacket during the Cyber Monday sale because I thought it was down-filled, and wouldn't have bought it otherwise, especially for its full price.However, I will not be returning it because it is very well made with attractive materials and colors. The hood is nice and snug for the cold weather.

The jacket was returned. Sadly, the inside of the jacket ripped within 2 weeks of my son wearing it too and from school. The material is way too thin and there was a small rip already on the back when we received it before Christmas. The sleeve length was small also. I bought this for my son for a Christmas gift so it was a huge bummer when we had to send it back, because my son actually still liked it regardless of how I preceived the making of it. Amazon gave me a "No hassle" money back guarantee, so that was nice!!!

Bought this little gem for my 10 year old. Hes about 4 feet 11 inches and about 80 pounds. I bought a 14 and it fits perfectly. Its warm without being super puffy. He will also be wearing it on a field trip to the mountains and Im confident he will be warm in it. The hood is fitted to the head which I hadn't seen before but it's fine. He looks cute in it.

After receiving the wrong color, I gave it to my grandson anyway for his birthday and the zipper kept sticking. Not sure how this made it through quality control, but I would not order from this seller again.
