EncorePro 520 QD headset (Plantronics)– Works with Poly Call Center Digital Adapters – Acoustic Hearing Protection – Dual ear

I've got a hearing aid & a CI and my office is fairly noisy. I changed out the default ear pieces with over the ear pads so that they completely cover my ears and it makes phone conversations much easier now. I don't have telecoil enabled on my hearing devices anymore, so I haven't tried that feature yet. Although I think the sound is clear enough as-is.

This is new, as described, and it did have the proper ear pads, not the cheap generic ones (very important). I love the binaural (2 ears). This has a 4 pin (regular) quick disconnect connection. I have it attached to my DA80 processor (volume, mute controls). Since the DA80 seems to break quicker than the headsets, I like the ability to buy them separately. Shipping was very fast, and would definitely recommend to a friend. The headband is quite snug, but that will probably get a little looser in time. My very, very old one (same model) was stretched out a bit. I can't even remember when I purchased the other one; I certainly got my money out of it as I expect that I will with this one. I've been work from home for 15 years, and have always purchased my own equipment. This way I get what I like. ***UPDATE*** I was just mentioning this product to a co-worker of mine. I was reading a review, and realized that I had run into my own review. LOL So I thought I'd take a moment to mention that I still have this very same headset and it is still working perfectly. The headband did loosen up just enough and is still extremely comfortable. I've been in customer service for over 40 years and I have swear by Plantronics products. I still highly suggest getting this with the quick disconnect from the DA-80 (required by my company) because that is going to go bad before the headset. My DA-80 mute button gets lots of use LOL Although I purchased that at the same time as the headset and it's still going strong. Also I wish they would make it more clear in the description; this does have a USB connection. **UPDATE*" Still going strong as of today October 13, 2025! I wanted to mention someone else's review said that it could not be noise canceling because the headset was too big for them. That's not how nice canceling works noise canceling comes from the microphone and yes it is noise canceling. And just make sure that you know it is a USB connection. And for my company I have to order separately a DA80.

This is a great headset -- crystal clear on my end when used with the Vista M22 amplifier, and listeners on the other end tell me (1) I'm very clear and (2) the background noise that I hear around me in my own office, they can't hear at all. I'm remembering why Plantronics is the professional call center standard and why I've been so satsified with them in the past.

Beware that the headset cannot be plugged into a PC without a special adapter which is expensive

Really works well. I can HEAR and not hear call center background noise, nor cam my customers.

The pictures shown should reflect the product sold. It shows the adaptor cable with the headset. It came without one.

I use these at work to talk on the phone. They are comfortable to wear for long periods at a time. They are NOT noise cancelling, so I started listening to music to avoid hearing side conversations. The "noise cancelling" feature advertised by these headsets is in the microphone, which is great!. I have asked at least a dozen people if they can hear me clearly because I am using a headset and they all said that it sounds just like I am using a regular phone. I have bent the microphone boom so it is positioned at the corner of my mouth, so maybe that has helped. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 was because I thought the noise cancelling feature referred to the ear-pieces, not just the microphone.

It looks beautiful and it's works perfectly for my WFH job.

I gave one star because I could not use the product. The description does not provide: the connection type (ie USB); the length of cord; the statement that there is a restocking charge if the returned product is not sealed. The restocking is 20%. I had to open the sealed plastic bag to find out that the connection was "wrong" and the cord was only 3 feet. I requested return the same day I got it (so no usage). It took almost 2 weeks to get confirmation that the return was "accepted" by the vendor and, then, I got the restocking charge. Not good customer service.

You need the plantronics adapter, otherwise the headset is not working properly with no-name brand
