Value for money!
I use the TARION Overhead Desk Camera Mount as a second camera for streaming, and itās been excellent. It was very easy to assemble and felt solid straight out of the box. Once set up, it has a strong, secure hold on the camera with no wobble or unwanted movement, even when adjusting angles or during long streams. The build quality feels sturdy and reliable, making it perfect for overhead desk shots. Overall, a great mount that does exactly what it promises.

Excellent, Versatile Mount for Any Setup!
I couldnāt be more pleased with the TARION Overhead Tripod Camera Desk Mount! Iāve gone through my fair share of mounts and tripods, but this one has truly exceeded my expectations. First off, the 360° flexible articulating arm is incredibly sturdy and offers precise control over positioning. Whether youāre using it for overhead shots or adjusting the angle for a close-up, itās easy to find the perfect setup. The 3/8'' screw and included 3/8'' to 1/4'' screw adapter make it compatible with a wide range of equipment, from DSLR cameras to projectors and even ring lights. The build quality is top-notch, with a solid, heavy-duty design that gives me confidence that it will hold my camera or light securely. The arm is also surprisingly smooth to adjust, and I love how it locks in place without any slipping or wobbling. Itās perfect for my desk setup, and I can use it for everything from streaming and filming tutorials to setting up my projector for presentations. What I especially love is the space-saving design. It mounts easily to the desk without taking up too much room, and I can quickly reposition it when needed. Whether youāre a photographer, streamer, or someone who needs a reliable tripod mount for various devices, this product is an excellent choice. Highly recommend it!

Solid once set up.
There's obviously quite a big market for camera, microphone and light supports. There are also light and heavy versions of all of this lot and people have different requirements and expectations. The mixed reviews reflect this. I've tried loads of these professionally, from the big manufacturers at different price points - Manfrotto, SmallRig, Neewer etc - and this is essentially a good bit of solid kit at the price point. Basically, once you have it set up it's rigid and well made. I wanted to attach mine to a Manfrotto light table set-up to hold an LED light panel, so had to do a bit of engineering to get a solid fix onto tubular alloy at the base. On a table top it would be very quick and easy. The other thing to know, as others have flagged, is that the geared inserts (4 per joint) fall out if you slacken the joints. Tiredome. Ideally they would be 'captive' but that would involve the manufacturer a load more work and expense to pass on to end users. Re-assembling the joints is doable but fiddly, so be warned! Assuming you want this for a specific task (voicing microphone above your desk say...), once set up this would be an excellent choice. Unlike some magic arm solutions, regular adjustments will be a bit grungy and confined to one plane per joint. Don't let this out you off if you have a known requirement and plan to leave it more or less set up, as unlike some other options I've tried this is genuinely solid without whippy wobble, and can be moved into loads of positions. Things like the Manfrotto Magic Arm are smoother and more fluid to adjust but 2-3x the money and leave you with adjustments handles sticking out. I am buying a second one, so reservations accepted this should be some sort of recommendation.

I have this set up for video use and it's sturdy and easily adjustable. This was just what I was looking for.

Sturdy but fidgety - with two important caveats
Here's the plus points - Its made of metal - and its strong. The horizontal arm can easily take the weight of my mirrorless camera plus lens. The clamp is also strong enough to grip a table edge. However - whenever you need to make an adjustment, the wheeled hinge mechanism is fidgety, awkward to use and a bit of a pain. It could be better implemented. But once you set up, the device will stay firmly in place - even if you leave your camera screwed on at the end. There are a couple of caveats though: 1. Even though the turn keys lock the wheeled hinges in place, there is still a little bit play at the joins. It may be only milli-meters, but it can be alloying if you need the camera to be level. So it takes a bit more fidgeting around to get the exact angle you want. 2. The arms only move in one dimension - so they can go up and down - but they cannot swivel sideways from the hinge, or rotate around their axes. Hence only 3 stars. Real shame that this is a good idea - but not thought out well. I would have taken a standard 1970's hinged table-lamp as my study - and developed the stand from that. But the price is good - and like I said, once you are set-up - and assuming you don't need to make frequent adjustments, it actually serves its purpose quite well.

Solid andvreliable
Very solid construction, high quality arm. The joints don't just rely on friction which stops them slipping. The weakest point is the table clamp which is expected, but even without any reinforcement it is solid enough to hold my DSLR.

Avoid
what can i say that has not already been said by my fellow 1 star review givers i agreed and double all that's been said this item is not made well at its base its a good idea and its firm on some part but this is only when you have it holding noting at all you'll play around with it and say yeah this is neat but no sadly its not made well enough to hold a dlsr or mirrorless well at all i wanted something i could clamp to a desk and stay stil to records a certain shot instead this is only going to get worse far as usability goes
