Wow!
So to preface this review, I've had a lot of headphones both for music and gaming. I'm not an audiophile, but I am quite particular when it comes to sound. I've had HyperX Cloud2, SteelSeries, V-Moda, Sony XM3. These headphones (open) are now my favourite for both music and gaming. Comfort: these do not clamp against your head like some have reviewed on the closed back. There's enough adjustability in the headband to get the sizing just right and stays in place nicely. I don't suffer from hot ears or sweaty head after hours of gaming, and I really don't feel like I've got anything on. You will not fatigue with these one bit. I found my HyperX to be very comfortable, but when trying these and going back to the HyperX, you can tell they're in different leagues (price wise you certainly are) Sound quality: this area is highly subjective like anything audio related it comes down to personal preference. I saw a lot of reviews saying the profile was relatively flat and lacked low end when compare to the closed. I can't comment on the closed, but I was pleasantly surprised how much low end it had when expecting such a flat profile. Both gaming and music, these things just sing. Playing FPS games I could hear footsteps and direction of enemy much clearer than HyperX. Explosions and bullets sounded amazing! Sound leakage: these are my first open back headphones. But the wife didn't complain hearing my gaming/music when played at same volume as HyperX. Not to say its not there, because it certainly is. But in a typical sized front living room, with my wife sat on the other sofa, she had to concentrate to hear anything. Happy wife, happy gamer! Music: I compared these to my Sony wh1000 XM3, which I love. I wasn't expecting much at first as the two couldn't be more different with Sony having ANC and closed back vs non-ANC and open back. But I was taken aback by how good music sounded on these. Obviously these are basically Sennheiser headphones, and so should sound very good! But it wasn't something I thought I'd appreciate quite as much as I did. The clarity, clear crisp highs and rumbling lows were welcomed, I cranked the volume up and no distortion. You could happily listen to Rap/R&B, hip hop, dance, pop, rock... they are truly versatile. Microphone: I like how you can magnetically remove the mic if you wanted. It rotates up to mute the mic automatically. From what others have fed back, my voice is clear and not too loud, with no background noise either. Though can't comment too much as not heard the results myself only feedback of others I've played with I highly recommend these headphones for either gaming or music.

Phenomenal Headphones
Honestly, this is the best headset I've ever owned. Paired with the EPOS Sennheiser GSX 1000 audio amp, the sound quality even competes with the much heavier Audeze Maxwell. The drivers are tuned perfectly right out of the box, and the headset is incredibly lightweight and exceptionally comfortable. I even wear it in bed while using my Steam Deck, and even without the amp, the audio quality is phenomenal.

I'd give 0 if I could.
I am actually astounded at how many people sing the praises of this headset when it is quite easily the worst headset I've ever used in my life, let alone for the ridiculous price range these apparently belong in. - The sound quality was awful, the overall volume had to be so low in order to preserve any kind of clarity which you could barely hear because it had to be so low. When raising the volume, the bass would distort so loudly the mids and trebles would get drowned out. - The build quality felt good in the hands and to look at, but immediately felt uncomfortable when wearing them. The earpads were a good shape for the ears but the material was like having 4 bricks cemented around the driver. - Despite what many sources have said, this DOES NOT work with Epos software and DOES NOT HAVE SIDETONE. Also the microphone which I had, did not sound anything like some of the microphones on reviews of this product, which did vary quite drastically video to video. (Post editing most likely) - The connections on this headset are AWFUL quality, I had to unplug and replug the wire upwards of 5 times and spin it in the fixture until finally both earcups engaged and was not missing any frequency. I honestly expected so much better for a headset in this price range from, supposedly, the gaming division of Sennheiser. I have never refunded anything in my life so fast and I really tried to like it to save the hassle of a return, but I simply feel like I have been SCAMMED.

Open back sounds better.
Accidentally ordered the closed back version during black friday rushing. They both sounded gd and the closed version creates a gd seal with minimal leak of sound, perfect for zoning in during competitive games with the added emphasis of bass and if you have people around you they'll not hear much of your game either. The open back version sounds a lot more fuller, wider, with the bass better managed, making it the choice for just everything from gaming to music. Be warned, the sound will leak much more with it being open back. The microphone and overall comfort is very good.

Comfortable open-back headset requires some power to drive.
TL:DR - It’s good - requires power to amp it, is comfortable, excellent imaging for games, is not ‘hifi’ but still fun with music. I convinced myself (and crucially my wife) that I needed this headset as I had problems with the onboard mic for conference calls on my work laptop. It so happens to be a very good gaming headset as well! Likes: -Comfortable, -Excellent noise suppression from the mic (colleagues never notice background noises.) -Automate when boom mic is tilted up. -Detachable boom mic -Two sets for cables - one with separate mic cable and the other all in one. -Open design means I can still here my wife or the Postie knocking at the door. -For gaming I was really happy with - the accuracy/special awareness and the lack of sibilance/hard or fatiguing treble. I could hear the gun fire and it made my heart pump but not my ears bleed. Dislikes: -The headphones need a bit of power to drive them. I used a Creative G6 headphone amplifier as it has an input for the mic. I also tested it with my Chord Hugo Dac/head amplifier and that was overkill. My advice the Creative is plenty good enough it’s enjoyable but don’t waste your money on exotic amplifiers unless you have them for hifi grade headphones. -Lastly the pads are very comfortable but they pick up crud and skin fairly easily so will require cleaning.

Versatile
Really versatile headphones. I love the fact you can remove the mic attachment and put on a normal cover. The flip to mute mic is great and works really well the magnet adhesion and contact pins design is genius as should prevent any breakages of flipping the mic repeatedly. My only negative is the white colour pads can quickly become dirty over prolonged use and it's not advised to wash them so that's annoying as I would have to source replacements. As for the sound profile I think they are good I do prefer open design headphones to prevent any pressure and these meet that expectation.

Greay Overall
Gteay headset. Clear crisp audio. Bass is abit lacking when plugged directly into PC nut buying and Amp would resolve this no problem.

Just for gaming
I wanted open back headphones, more comfy, and you can still hear doorbells, the phone ringing etc. These seemed overpriced but you can't go wrong with Sennheiser or so I thought. Basically for gaming these are adequate. But if you do anything else like listen to music, watch youtube or whatever, these are surprisingly poor. Play Michael Jackson's 'Man In The Mirror' through them and they just can't cope. The driver in these is located up and away from your ear and it makes everything sound distant. The higher the frequency, the more distant and tinny it sounds. The bass is pretty good, no complaints there but for this price you'd expect more. These don't even do 7.1 surround. (They will if you pay an extra £70 for a sound card). HyperX are offering wireless headphones with 7.1 for half this price, it's a bit bizarre. The microphone does the job but nothing amazing, and as with a lot of headphones these days they do put too much pressure on your head. I returned these and got Sennheiser's Gaming One headset instead, they're far superior.

Preis / Leistung herforragend !

Bin top zufrieden!
