Comedy Central's Emmy-nominated notorious roast specialist and rising star brings his signature dark and twisted point of view to his new special Caligula. Set to release with the network world premiere along with Anthony's new weekly Comedy Central series. The once dubbed "satanic prince of stand-up" routinely goes where few comedians would even consider going, saying things most wouldn't even dare.

Delightfully Inappropriate!
Of course I'd give 5 stars; I'm biased as he is my favorite comic. We both hail from Pittsburgh and we both find the most inappropriate "stuff you shouldn't say or think" as hilarious. I loved his show, The Jeselnik Offensive but suspected the suits wouldn't get it. They didn't disappoint. This special, Coligula, is the funniest stand-up I have ever seen since the days of Eddie Murphy "Delirious" and "RAW". Back then it was pretty racy but mild and still far more offensive by today's standards. Rough to watch now but I digress. Caligula is a masterpiece of shock, awe and guilt for laughing at something so delightfully inappropriate. If you have a GREAT sense of humor and find the madness of the world to be just funny enough to get through the darkness of it, this stand-up is for you. If you are easily offended and think that your somber silence contributes to the healing of tragedy and prevents terrible people from existing in this world, then you won't really get it. Myself, I'll watch it many more times and laugh away the sadness of each topic.

It's good, but once is enough.
It is a wonderful routine, and very funny. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I doubt I'll watch it more than once. I kind of rate movies, comedy specials, TV, etc. on how many times I'll watch it in the future. Hate to admit it, but I've watched Louis Black and Daniel Tosh specials many times (until the dialog is memorized). "Delirious" is hard-wired in my head. In short, Caligula is good, but you probably won't put it on the same repeat schedule as Ralphie May or George Carlin.

Painfully slow and predictable
Almost entirely one-liners, made even more boorish by his frankly annoying cadence and complete predictability. They aren't even funny one-liners... Every joke is based solely on shock value. And his incessant need to put everyone else down while talking about how wonderful he is, is absolutely grating. Jeselnik isn't funny, he's a seriously disturbed individual who needs to be taken off the stage and put on a therapist's sofa.

Evil Comedy
I adore him. He is such a bad boy. Sly, uber-arrogant, outrageous and hot! I first noticed him on Comedy Roasts and Iβm glad I dug deeper to find his one-man shows.

Wonderfully Dark and Cerebral
Do you like your comedy dark and cerebral? Then this is it!Jesselnik is the master of taking you to a dark place, and then letting you know just how much darker it could be - by going there next. His crafty setups often leave you expecting one thing and then getting something even darker than where you imagined you'd end up.A total black comedy treat! If you are squeamish, or really hate dead baby jokes, you should probably steer clear but you'll be missing out on a uproarious trip to the darkside of comedy. If you 'pass the test' be sure to see his other show: "Thoughts and Prayers" too.

A little too much Jeselnik
I love the comedy of Anthony Jeselnik. Like everyone else, I first saw him in the Comedy Central Roasts. I also caught his special on Netflix, which is excellent. So as a big Anthony fan, my feeling is that Caligula is just okay. Anthony is in great form and the jokes are solid, but the lack of versatility wore me out. I basically watched it in 20 minute increments. There are no stories, no running gags and no contrast in the joke telling. And the crowd work feels kind of forced. That said, when I want a quick 10 minute hit of Anthony's coal-black humor, Caligula is perfect. I just doubt I'll feel the need to watch the whole thing in one sitting.

No small talk
Anthony Jeselnik is the de facto king of comedy right now. (Should shave the beard. The clean shaven look matches his personality better.)

Hilarious
I love Anthony Jeselnik's bold and unapologetic humour; he knows what's funny and isn't afraid of using a joke that would make the less humourous of us want to punch him in the face. Anyone who's honest with themselves would be laughing start to finish when you watch this. If you don't laugh at one of his jokes the only reason can be you are trying impress someone with your superiority and it is just not worth it. Enjoy!

Completely Offensive and Almost Entirely Devoid of Humor
I have a dark sense of humor but this was just plain offensive. I feel like a terrible person just to have seen it.
