Perfect replacement keyboard! It fit and worked exactly as it should.

All the Keys worked but Space Bar only halfway works. Bad

This fits DELL G7 perfect. However, I didn't notice when ordering that this one doesn't provide the backlighting like the original. I noticed after I had taken laptop apart and there was no extra ribbon cable to power the backlighting. Otherwise, this is a perfect replacement - no fitment issues and I would definitely recommend if you don't care about not having the backlighting.

Keyboard works great. As others have mentioned this is not an easy swap. I am fairly techy and replaced a laptop screen before, but this was much more challenging. You have to take the entire laptop apart. I followed a YT video. You need the 2 small Phillips heads, and you need a set of the tech plastic pry tools (not sure the official word for them) Lots of ribbons to unplug and plug back in...HDD, keyboard, monitor, battery, power, etc. Use a magnetic matt or some system for keeping track of all the screws...there's about 40-50. If you are techy, patient, and take your time, it's def doable. If you are not those 3 and don't want to buy the above tools then I'd skip it.

worked just fine. but the keyboard does not light up. without being in a lit area keys are unreadable

As intended it works flawlessly. Backlight and everything works great, buttons feel great, everything went pretty smooth. Worst part is getting to the actual keyboard as its the furthest thing in there to get to. But once you get to it, its pretty smooth going back together.

Good keyboard overall, same texture as original for the keycaps of my g7 but falsely advertises backlight when it only has the light for the caps lock. Still the install was about as simple as they come and not having flashing rgb lights does not bother me so just happy to have a compatible keyboard that is pretty cheap.

The shift button broke in less than six months. The space button sometimes requires multiple presses.

Went in easy enough. Getting to it wasn't so bad. Lots of plastic welds holding the back of the board on. Used a small chisel to clip them off. The lights are not as bright as the original board had. All in all, it's a good price.

Product fitted perfectly into place and works. My only gripe is the backlighting. More light is emitted from around the key edges than through the key face, especially at an angle like using the laptop with table and chair. I think I'd go with the genuine one next time.
