Perfect for Those with Fragrance Allergies, ACD & Eczema
I have a fragrance contact allergy to linalool which means that I cannot use anything with natural or artificial fragrance. No botanical oils or extracts at all. In addition, certain chemicals are considered cross reactors and therefore I have to avoid those as well. Add to that my vitamin E (tocopherol) contact allergy and finding a deodorant that is safe for me and actually works is near impossible. I couldn't use the original unscented cream stick deodorant because while labeled unscented, it's not actually considered fragrance free due to the aloe leaf juice, isoamyl laurate, lauryl alcohol, sodium benzoate and cocoa butter. Plus it has vitamin E in it. I use the SkinSafe app to find products that are safe for me per my Mayo Clinic dermatologist. I have tried every safe deodorant and none have worked. Some caused rash despite saying they are safe, but most just don't work. They may for a couple hours then they stop. Another thing to consider is will it leave white marks or stain clothing (oil stains can be really hard to remove). The Lume Unscented/fragrance free solid deodorant recently appeared on my safe list and I jumped to try it. First I want to address the smell because I see people complaining about it smelling like all kinds of weird things such as vinegar, mildew, urine, etc. THIS PRODUCT SMELLS NOTHING LIKE ANY OF THOSE THINGS! Please do not be scared off by those reviews. I have a keen sense of smell since I live a fragrance free life so nothing is dulling my senses. The unscented solid has a light smell which is a result of the raw ingredients in it. The whole point in making a product that is free of scents (including masking fragrances) is to have a product free of both natural and artificial fragrance. When you do that, the natural smells of the ingredients will come through, though they are never strong and don't really linger. This product's ingredients give it a smell that is like a mix of citronella and calamine but not as strong as either one. I can smell it if I put my nose up to it or if I sniff my armpits within an hour of application, but that's it, and after that it just fades away. It is not a bad or offensive smell (much better than BO) even if it's not a scent someone with the luxury of using fragrance would choose. For people like me, it's beautiful because it's safe. I don't get to choose what anything smells like. My conditioner smells like cooking oil, my soap smells like glycerin and and my hair gel smells like plastic and vinegar. I couldn't care less. All that matters to me is that it is safe and will not cause terrible, itchy, oozing rashes that take months and a lot of prescriptions to clear, and that it serves it's purpose. I'm grateful to Lume for creating a product for me and the millions of people like me. On to performance! Day one I applied only 1-2 swipes per arm as instructed but I did start to smell some faint BO after a couple of hours in the 106 degree AZ heat. The next day I washed it off and applied 3 swipes per arm. I went all day without smelling anything. When I got up the next day I could smell light BO if I put my nose to my armpit which is fine. It says it eliminates odor all day (that's one day) and controls odor for 72 hours (meaning it will lessen the odor on days 2 & 3 but not eliminate it) so it did what it said it would do. I've been using it for two weeks now and have not had any adverse reactions. I will update if I do. I am happy that it works and I haven't seen marks on my clothes, it feels nice and smooth going on and doesn't feel wet or sticky after it rubs in. I highly recommend it if you truly need a product free of artificial and natural fragrance.

Best deodorant I've ever used
This review is for the unscented solid stick. It is by far the most effective deodorant I've ever used. I'm an active male. Compared to other deodorants I've used, using a 1 to 10 scale of effectiveness: - Mineral crystal unscented deodorant (either roll on or solid crystal) : 3/10 not very effective - Toms natural deodorants: 4/10 not very effective - Traditional store bought scented deodorants : 6/10 they work ok but I hate the scents, some give me a rash - Schmidt's natural unscented deodorant: 7/10, works well, but is oil based and leaves terrible stains on clothes, lots of residue, doesn't wash off. - Lume unscented stick: 9/10 Amazing. Can go a whole day including gym and sweat and still almost no odor at the end of the day. Nothing else has ever worked this well. Other factors: Lume seems to be water based, washes off easily in the shower, doesn't stain clothes, doesn't leave caked on residue. The unscented version does have a faint smell from the ingredients used. Its hard to describe, kind of like plastic and candle wax. It doesn't smell good or bad, just different. Yes it is expensive but it is worth it to me. (seems to be slightly cheaper on Lume's website than Amazon...)

ONLY THE UNSCENTED STICK IS GREAT
I have purchased every scent sold in stick and cream varieties now just to try them. Pros and cons: The creams are absolutely disgusting. I’d rather smell my own stank coupled with everyone else's than like a putrid wet dog decaying in a garbage dump and rotting veggies in the fridge- its absolutely awful. Sorry Lume but this needs some revamping-big time. I do not understand why it needs to smell so foul when wet. Especially for this price. Once they all dry they are better and work like magic but the wet smell takes your breath away. Literally no body odors occur with these products even after workouts in the summer heat and I love that part though so I stay faithful to purchasing the unscented stick. Unless you can handle the rancid smell of every single one of the creams while they are still wet…you also better stick with the solid stick in unscented like we do. Too bad they are always out of stock because I have it on subscribe and save for all six of us females and the one and only male in our family. Bottom line is its a great product and works, if you can get past the nasty scent when the cream is wet or the scented sticks. Personally I cannot and I do not know anyone who can, even when we spayed aerosol deodorants over them just so we wouldn't gag I feel nauseous over the smell and another thing to note is once its in your clothes-it buys real estate and never leaves-like a bad neighbor. Gross.

Worth the extra money
Lume has been a breakthrough product for me. I have always struggled with deodorants and antiperspirants because I have sensitive skin and sweat a lot. I have received chemical burns on my armpits from using different kinds of antiperspirants in the past. Lume is more expensive, but in my opinion is totally worth the higher price point. It glides on smoothly and serves as a barrier against odors. It is truly unscented, so you don’t have to worry about a weird soap smell that some ‘unscented’ products actually have. It is not an antiperspirant, so you will still sweat with this, just not smell bad while doing it. Honestly, I feel like I sweat less after stopping using antiperspirants? I don’t understand that one, but it’s true. Anyways, this is a truly remarkable product. Invest in your hygiene and try this out. And remember, you can use it anywhere your body tends to stink, not just your armpits!

Disappointed Again
I tried this product when it first became readily available. I purchased a tube of their unscented deodorant cream, and literally failed me within a couple hours. I smelled a lot worse after the fact than I did prior to showering. I ended up giving the remaining contents to a friend, who didn’t have any issues with it. I figured the failure probably had a lot of do with my diet & such. So after making a ton of lifestyle changes (cutting out processed foods, detoxing, etc.), I decided to give this product one more shot a couple years later. The price point has increased significantly since I last used it, but I figured it’d be money well spent if it worked. I used a generous amount of the deodorant in my nether regions right after a shower, before bed, and it surprisingly lasted all night. I swiped some on and also made sure to rub the product in & let it set before putting on clothes, so I’m sure that’s how I got it to work. However, once I woke up and started moving around, the deodorant no longer did its job. Once again, I was smelling worse than what I did prior to showering. $20 is way too high of a price point for an item that claims to work for up to 72 hours…but barely lasted me over 7 hours. Maybe I would’ve had success if I’d applied more upon waking up, but again, I shouldn’t have to do so if the product claims to be strong enough to last up to 3 full days.

Gooey? Creamy? Not Solid.
I don't know if the heat from delivery changed my product or not. But the deodorant was stuck to the top little thing you remove before you use a new deodorant (not the lid). I managed to scrape that off and put it somewhat back together. But man this stuff is creamy. Like, it seems like it needs to dry out some. I attempted to 'swipe' it on my armpit and a lot came off- much more than a pea-shaped size and it was just gooey. Basically the consistency was a little thicker than the stuff that comes out of the tube. Again, maybe the heat from it being delivered did something to it, I don't know, but it does seem extremely creamy for being a solid stick. As far as smell goes. Well initially it smells LOTS better than the tube. No old cheese/foot funk smell. Then you put it on and wear it for a little and the smell starts to appear. I got a bit overwhelmed by the odor so I quickly scrubbed my pits clean. I plan on letting the deodorant sit out for a bit without a lid to see if it might solidify a bit more and maybe that will help. But as it stands- there is still some of the 'funk' smell that the normal unscented deodorant in the tube has. Not gonna lie though, if you can get through that smell, it DOES work. Like it eliminates that 'beef stew' odor for awhile. For me it only lasted 24 hours. But that is WAY better than Native or aluminum deos. It just smells so bad when you first put it on. Like Bog of Eternal Stench smell. Even the coconut smells bad. I learned with the tube, put it on, then leave your bits that it was applied to open to the air for a little while so they can air out. If you don't do this, you will carry that scent for hours.

The only natural deodorant that works!
I've tried many natural deodorants in the past. They either didn't work, or caused my skin to break out in an rash within a couple of weeks. Lume was my last resort. I love the natural ingredients in the formula and it truly keeps me dry and fresh all day. (Trust me. I live in Florida. I know sweat and BO). The texture is smooth and not overly flaky or dry. Honestly, less is more. You don't need copious amounts to get through the day, which I appreciate.

The best of the best!!
I have used almost every natural deodorant out there, to include unnatural deodorant. The unscented Lumee deodorant is hands down the best deodorant I have ever used!!!!!!!! And I perspire a lot, especially at night. I at one point considered getting Botox under my arms. I have tried Lumee’s Coconut scent previously and the formula works great but the scent and odor 😫. The coconut scent to much like unclean lady parts. Several reviews complain of the odor of lumee’s deodorant in every other scent. However the formula itself is outstanding for most people. The unscented version is hands down the answer to what we’ve been waiting for! There is no foul odor or scent of any kind and it works for 72 hours!!!! Thank you Lumee for inventing the best natural deodorant ever!!! 💕
