Folkmanis Skunk Hand Puppet

Just a cute puppet to share with my class .Its easy to hold and cute shape make it realistic and soft to use for play.

So, my young son wanted a pet skunk. Obviously we can't do that, so this is the next best thing, and he named it Sam and carries this hand puppet around everywhere. One thing to note is that if you have larger hands, this is pretty difficult to figure out how to use, as the item is small and the holes for the arms are pretty small as well so it's hard for me to use it as an actual puppet—however, my son can.Overall, this is a great little skunk puppet for kids.

This thing is cute as a button. If you put your dominate hand inside, cradle it across your chest and bring your opposite hand up to pet its back half, you can entertain toddlers and teach them how to be gentle with small animals. At a distance its real enough to worry your neighbors that your new pet might get loose and ruin their barbecue.I have to add…please make sure children are warned about skunks in the wild. Skunks carry rabies and I avoid them at all costs. Of the 45 cases of rabies reported in Kentucky in 2009 (which is the most current report I can find), the animals listed included skunks 28, bats 7, dogs 4, foxes 2, horses 2, cats 1, and a raccoon 1. Other states seem to fair better like Ohio with most of their cases coming from bats. Enjoy your toy.

Good quality puppet, but the hand size is too small for an adult hand. Better for kids.

I bought this skunk for my 18 m/o granddaughter who loves/hates skunks. This stuffed animal is very well made, a great size, and perfect for any age. I always read reviews prior to purchases. One review for this skunk was negative saying the opening for your hand (it is a puppet) was way too little and this man commenting said he could not get his hand in it. Another reviewer said they had to cut the opening to get a hand inside. I am a relatively small female and my hand fits, although it is a little tight. However, this is a child’s toy so to me that says the opening will accommodate a child’s hand very well and it does. This little skunk is well worth the money and I will be looking at what other animals this company has to offer.

Wow what they show and what I got are not nearly the same size. This thig is way too small!!!My friend 6yr old cold not get her hand in this puppet.Of i had to guess what i got is a finger puppet.

My 13 year old son started his collection of these stuffed puppet animals when he was barely a toddler. Today, he still treasures every single one that has survived this long. This little guy is perfect: well-made, precisely as described. Highly recommended.
