Q: Are these really wide? My husband has Fred Flinstone feet?

I have a size 12 and the widest point just below the toes is 4 1/2 inches wide and 4 inches above that. The adjustable straps work great and they are very comfortable.

Q: Is the top of the footbed cloth type fabric?

Not really, the top that goes over the foot seems to be a cloth type underneath and fake leather (sort of rubberized plastic) on top. The footbed of the sandal is soft cushiony plastic, not fabric.

Q: My husband fit in the slides 13 x wide Skechers (non-adjustable) last year, do the adjustable run the same? He has a high in step.

I also wear 13 w and these fit nicely

Q: With ginormous "S" or not?

No ginormous "S" but it does have what I would consider a small "S" on the outside of the strap. Roughly 1/2" high x 1" wide.
