So happy I got this! The size is perfect for a small kitchen counter but at the same time it holds so much! I have 2 loaves of bread, English muffins and a bag of hot dog buns in it without squashing! No more clutter all over the counter, plus the lid, as a breadboard is brilliant. I can put the butter dish on top, with a little s/p shaker set and it looks cute and saves space. The attention to detail is apparent, especially inside. While some breadboxes have seams and corners for crumbs to get caught in, this one is smooth and rounded so nothing gets stuck in grooves.The color is mellow and would go with almost anything. The materials sustainable and eco friendly. The only neg is minor, I just didn't care that much for the graphic. I guess its OK and not overdone, but personally I could have done without it. Still, superior workmanship stands out. BTW, packed well, shipped safe, no damage like others reported. A 5 Star Purchase!

The size of the box is quite big. You can put anything in there, not only bread but as a container of your kitchen/ knick knack things. It’s not made of sturdy metal, so if you ever drop them it may have dented and doesn’t look beautiful anymore. The pictures on it is pretty too, it reminds me of the old painting of bread in the old days. The lid is close up well not to tight so you won’t needing help to open it. Overall, it’s a good buy as an addition to your kitchen stuff.

I have been raving about this since I got it. I don't usually do online product reviews, but I am so impressed and happy I felt I should.I was tired of our bread getting stale or hard before it should, so I thought a bread box was worth a try.Bought this one because of other good reviews, and because it fits my style. I had never used a bread box before.I have had bread in it for a week since opening, and cannot believe every day when I get in there to grab a slice that it is still moist and fresh, as if just opened. Love the design of this, having the bamboo top be a cutting board is so clever and handy, and the capacity is wonderful. I have room for two loaves of bread, or one loaf as well as other baked items I want to keep fresh. LOVE this product, it will pay for itself over time in the amount of money saved by not having bread go stale. Very happy with this purchase!!

Fast shipping. The etching on the front is very eye catching and is a quality print. The lid fits tight and I suppose that is the way it is to be to keep things fresh, but I have a hard time taking it off. I have to slide it close to me and brace it against me to get it off. Also there is a small dent in it. Someone else and said that and it was exchanged quickly, but its such a hassle to pack it back up and get it to the post office, etc, I just turned the dent to the back because the picture is on both sides. I'm not sure about the freshness component, I just got it. I don't think I'd use the top for a cutting board, it would mark it up. I do like that is flat so you can sit something on it. Also It does fit 2 loaves of bread but not side by side. I would have preferred it being less deep and a bit wider to fit the bread side by side without squishing it in. You can stack them but that crushes your bread.

I agonized for 6 months over which bread box I would purchase. I wanted a red one, and one that could hold one or two 1 lb. loaves of bread, a pack of English muffins and a bag of bagels. Ultimately size and utilitarian design won out over color. This box holds what I need it to store, and has a lift-off bamboo breadboard lid to boot. The bread board is not as thick as I had thought but it serves the purpose just fine. The color is a neutral cream tone and the simple country-style design is on both front and back so there is no wrong way to put it back on the counter. All in all I give this bread box a solid 5 stars. I really like it!!! That being said, it arrived with a small crease on the one side which was only noticeable in the right lighting. When I turned it around, however, the upper left corner was badly dented. The bread box was only lightly wrapped and inside of a cardboard box that showed no external damage whatsoever. I can only assume then that the item was previously damaged and then reboxed. Amazon reimbursed my account so that I can reorder the item. I am not the only customer who posted that they received a damaged bread box, so I am not sure if I will order it again at this time.

The height of this box is perfect for storing bags of coffee. I don't need my coffee bags sealed, as I go through the grounds pretty quickly, but I like that this box sits on my counter exactly where I need it to so that I can get the coffee out. I can store 6 bags of coffee, and I also store some miscellaneous user manuals for kitchen gadgets.I haven't tried storing bread.I also love the wooden lid. It fits snuggly and has a strong feel to it. I have a silicone trivet on top because I use the top surface to hold things like my coffee mug, and I don't want to damage the nice wood.Also, no problems with the metal container - no dents or breakages on arrival. And the entire container is sturdy and strong. I can't "dent" the sides just by pushing in.If I had one "wish" it would be that the unit came in white instead of "white cream". It's definitely not white. I really want white!

I love this!! It’s tall and roomy and so cute. I bought it because I like things to have a place and I don’t like bread “loose” on the counter. Plus I feel like this is protection from bugs and moisture???I usually have a bag of bagels and a loaf of bread in there, but it could easily hold another bag of either one too! I have been able to do that once or twice but it isn’t usually for long that it is that full. I originally wanted something vintage (or pull door style) but the cleanliness of something old (related to food) weirded me out. This gives me those vintage vibes slightly, but it’s nice and new! I like the cutting board lid idea, but I don’t reach for it or use it often
