Beware with book binding (it peels)
As a another reviewer stated "I would not call this chipboard its just thick cardboard. The kind that peels off in layers," I would have to agree, my first book binding project with this material went fine but after doing another book needing better spine support the cardboard completely peeled off. I had no idea why the book was failing until I disassembled and found that the cardboard had completely peeled off the spine, what a mess ! So glad this was not a valuable book and will not use again.

Excellent For Book Binding
I made a hardcover book with this chipboard (signatures were 8.5x11 paper folded in half), covering it in a medium weight twill fabric. Turned out fabulous, with the covers as thick as what you would get in an encyclopedia (anyone remember those?) or hardcover textbook.
