How wide is the holder? What is the diameter?

Mine is between 5 and 6 inches in diameter.

Does anyone get a bad rubbery taste in their food when they cook with these?

I have not experienced any rubbery taste when cooking with these utensils.

Since these are silicon, they are not plastic, and therefore cannot contain BPA
