UltraPress Water Purifier - Covert Black

One of the kids (23) travelled around Australia and Fiji for 3 months. She used this bottle every day, sometimes as a standard water bottle. When she lived with in a Fijian family in a village, she filled the bottle from the local rivers and streams using the bottle's push down filter system. Katie pushed and drank. All the others in her party used trendy/fashionable pieces of kit. They had to wait for their filter systems to work. Katie was the only member of her group who avoided being ill. We can't recommend this bottle strongly enough. Still looks like new.

Great item, my boyfriend uses it every day. Product is brilliant design has lots of uses from filtered water to cooking/boiling water. Light weight design and decent size not to big but big enough to hold decent volume of water

I use it since July 2023 On most hikes and all camps . It is brilliant. In the cold it can be tricky to open though. A bit of a nack to it

I bought this Grayl cup after reading a lot of reviews, and was taking it out to Kilimanjaro with me in Oct 2022. It didn't work. It was broken, so I took it l the way up and down Kili and couldn't use it. When I returned I returned it for a refund, and have got a £43.94 despite paying a cost of £79.95 for it. So I've had a broken product and am getting about half of what I paid back. Beyond angry. Just an update. The owner and I had some correspondence and he was very decent, and has since refunded the full amount. So the 1 star is for the cup, as it didn't work, but to be fair to the owner he was very good and refunded. In relation to this cup, a few pals of mine bought it and they worked very well, I guess I must have just picked the runt of the litter.

The bottle arrived without a lid, rendering it useless. Had to return it. I subsequently bought one from a retail store and found it to do everything I'd hoped. Would have rated it 5+ stars if it had have been shipped with lid/cap.

J'ai utilisé cette gourde durant une semaine en trekking au Maroc. Nickel pas de soucis avec l'eau filtrée, eau du robinet uniquement mais parfois pas très claire. Très pratique pour remplir plusieurs gourdes en très peu de temps. Pas besoin d'attendre comme avec les pastilles micropure et ne laisse aucun goût a l'eau. Je recommande vivement cette gourde, un peu chère a l'achat mais de très bonne qualité.

Egal ob See, Fluss oder andere Gewässer! Bisher hat mich der Wasserfilter von Grayl nie enttäuscht. Das System ist super anwendbar und die Filter funktionieren hervorragend. Mehrere Tage in Schweden und auch bei verschiedenen Wanderungen konnte auf große Wasservorräte verzichtet werden, da man mit dieser Flasche den perfekten Begleiter hat, um an gut genießbares Wasser zu kommen. Obwohl die Flasche und die Ersatzfilter nicht ganz günstig sind, kann ich diese Flasche jedem empfehlen, der nach einem guten Wasserfilter für sein nächstes Outdoorabenteuer ist!

Long review but I get into details on why you need to buy one of these. Please read on. I’ve had a grayl since the kickstarter days. I love these things for travel all over the globe but I didn’t grab mine when I came to Dubai a couple years ago because a friend needed to “borrow” it for a trip to Africa. Well after getting here and setting up my home filtration system of a Sawyer filter to a Zero Water filter (for bacteria and microbes and then heavy metal’s / solids) I decided I needed something for on the go and set my sights back to the grayl. It gets me better water, cheaper. For those that aren’t into water filtration allow me to explain. The tap water in Dubai by testing is actually drinkable, however the construction of the buildings from what I’ve seen has lead to varying amounts of metallic compounds to be in the water here. This coupled with pipes being in old buildings possibly being covered in gunk that allows bacteria to breed is what causes the majority of water related illnesses. To prevent this two types of filtration needs to occur, bacterial / viral and then heavy metal’s and other solid contaminants. The grayl does both of this in a portable bottle, getting that combination in a household setup requires 2 separate filters in a gravity system. Now you may ask why I went through all of this when I could just buy bottled water. Well this is where math comes into play. For the grayl ultra press I can make 150l of water or 300 bottles at 500ml. If I go downstairs it’s between 1 AED to 1.50 AED for a single 500ml bottle. Buying the grayl and using it until the filter is completely gone is the es cat same price as buying the 300 bottles at 1 AED per bottle, it saves 150 AED if I pay 1.50AED per bottle. Now if I decide to go to one of the theme parks, water parks, or staycation on the palm where 500ml bottles of water are 10-20 AED I get my return in as fast as 30 refills at 10 AED per bottle. Additionally the replacement cartridges are around 100 AED per cartridge which means that the same 300 bottles at 1 AED now averages 200 AED in savings. It also massively reduces single use plastic going into the environment. Being able to fill up at any sink in the UAE also never puts me out of reach of water when I need it. I know this has been a long review so I thank you for hanging tough and finishing my breakdown. Hopefully someone can translate it to Arabic.
