I use this for iron-on adhesive to fabric that I then use for DIY bookbinding and DIY recycling cardboard boxes into desk organizer’s, pens/pencils/markers and more organizer’s to even bookshelves/bookcases and even nightstands and more. The process is simple and quick as can be. You just roll out the measurements or size that you are going to need. Place your fabric or whatever you need on a protected flat surface or ironing board and place your HeatnBond on top. Iron without steam over the entire surface and let cool and then just peel the back off and you are ready to use. It keeps material from bunching up when applying or soaking up glue etc. One used to be able to find this brand in Wal-Mart stores but, apparently they have changed that and instead if going through Wal-Mart one will have only the shipping option so purchasing this through Amazon is quicker time.

I embroider patches and use this for the glue backing. Since it is quite thin, I cut two of the same shape and iron both to the back of the patch. The other brand I purchased only required one cut of the backing, but it took too long to be delivered to me. So, I gave this product a try which is cheaper also. Thus far I have ironed it on patches from 3-inches to 10-inches - applied the same principal. The backing will look and feel much thicker. Thus far, no complaints from my customers. I only gave 4 stars for the thinness of the product. Otherwise, in a pinch I would and have purchased again. Fast shipping a definite plus.

The bond is near-instant. I used it to reinforce some thinning fabric on a tool bag, and it took less than five minutes to get a permanent-feeling hold. Strength & Durability: The "UltraHold" Promise: They aren't kidding about the name. Once this stuff is heat-set, it doesn't want to move. I’ve used "Lite" versions before that peeled at the corners, but the UltraHold creates a very stiff, secure bond. This is an excellent product. It arrived ahead of the projected delivery date and presented as described in the product description. I used the Thermoweb to reattach two halve's of a canvas that tore apart during an ice storm. Once completed, I still can't quite believe how flexible it is and, to date, there is no sign of it coming apart. Here are a couple of suggestions to help this difficult application work. 1) make sure your canvas is as clean as possible i.e. trim torn edges etc. and wipe off accumulated dirt, dust and pollen. I put a strip of Thermoweb down the edge of each piece of canvas before mating them for final fusion. 2) The iron I was using was not hot enough to fuse the material solidly so I preheated the seam with my heat gun and then followed with the iron ( i.e. heat gun in one hand iron and the other). This welded the seam securely! When I run out, I will buy this product again.

I used this on my leather hat patches and it worked perfect. And not fake leather, 5 oz dyed. The only thing I had to do was heat a little longer as real leather takes a bit longer. But works great.
