Great for lightweight day use
I purchased this hammock as an addition to my backpacking/outdoor activity gear. It is lightweight and easily repacked into its own pocket. I like the inclusion of additional extra ropes to tie off onto the trees. But there are some pros and cons with it.PROS: lightweight, takes minimal pack space, easy to pack, easy to assemble, appropriate for the weight range of all members of my family (just not together!), dries quickly and easilyCONS: stitching on ends was not double stitched over itself and was unraveled in a couple of stitches, the ends were not reinforced, no included instructions on tying off the knots to attach the carabiners to (pictures are included in the description on the Amazon page but if you do not know how to tie off well before going out this could be problematic), the rope is not really long enough to tie around a thicker tree or for a longer space between two trees to appropriately tie safe knots – which brings me to the next point, these ropes slid a bit down the truck after assembly (to be fair I had attached to a couple of smoother barked trees which makes it more prone to this) so finding a tree with a branch-off low enough would be necessary as well.I am going to keep this packed in my day pack as I think it is a useful addition but will be using some caution and not setting it up over rocky ground. The fabric itself appears rather sturdy and held up to the stress tests I placed on it (bouncing, jumping, etc. while assembled). I always have extra rope on hand so the short ropes are not really a problem for me. My largest concern is the unreinforced ends and lack of double stitching, therefore the 4 star rating.I received this hammock at a discounted price for my honest review.

Fun
Camping Hammocks are so much fun! This is a good hammock. It is lightweight and compact, so it is easy to store and easy to carry. Perfect if you are backpacking or camping. I really love that the pouch/bag is attached to the hammock itself. I will not have to worry about losing the bag. While the camping hammock is being used, the bag can be used to store things you may want to keep handy like bug spray or a flashlight. What a great design. I really like the orange and grey coloring. It is attractive. The parachute type material is sturdy and feel great. I could only give four stars because my rope came all snagged (there is a huge loop that is all pulled apart and fraying. I will need to replace it soon. Also the seams and sewing seem secure, but either the parachute material was fraying and ragged or some material go in during manufacturing because when the seam was done, it has a bunch of stings and stuff stuck in it. If it is part of the hammock itself, it may compromise the integrity of the product. So far it seems okay. The camping hammock is a good size and will suit our needs. This would also be fun for a backyard. You should consider this hammock when purchasing gifts.I received this hammock at a discount in exchange for my fair, honest and unbiased review.

Hammock is great, shipping / rope is not.
I've been wanting to get into the lightweight hammock trend for a while (looks super comfy!), but this was my first foray into the product. First word of warning would be that it is NOT an Amazon Prime item, so the shipping time from China is pretty long. It took about a month to get to me in California. Once I received it, I was surprised at exactly how light it was! As a bigger guy, the prospect of this holding my body weight was a bit scary, but I was gonna try it regardless. I went out to a park near my house, and unpacked the package for the first time - it was super simple. The bag was attached to the hammock itself, and a pair of ropes for attaching to trees was inside as well. I was able to get the hammock set up within about 3 mins, which is pretty good considering I hadn't even opened the package before this. The first thing I noticed was that the ropes were SUPER stretchy - not elastic but stretchy, so I started off at a height I thought was good, but the rope stretched and my butt was on the ground. A quick retying, and I was back in business with no rope stretching. Here's where the product loses it's first star - the ropes had already started fraying at this point (the ones tied to the tree). That was a bit frustrating, but everything was holding up OK. After a quick nap, I was ready to take everything down - the first rope was pretty simple, but the second rope had tightened so much on itself, I couldn't untie it. I had to cut off a section of rope to get the thing down, and this is where it loses a second star. Not only does the rope stretch and fray, but it also tightens on itself making it almost impossible to undo some knots (for those of us without Boy Scout training). That aside, packing up was very easy - the hammock fits very nicely into the bag without any fancy packing needed.Overall, the hammock works very well, but the rope to attach to the trees is not high quality. If you buy this, also buy some higher quality rope to tie onto trees.I received this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review.

as well as a tiny pouch native to the area the people believe will bring you good luck - a nice personalized touch
While I bought this under the assumption it was a two-person hammock, it most certainly is not. However, it fits me perfectly, and the material is made of the parachute material - exactly what you want. I did find the straps to be a bit limiting; they are conducive for smaller width trees, so taking this out into the wilderness last weekend was a bit of a challenge. Luckily, I was able to borrow a strap with multiple options for any-width tree. So I found one larger tree to string to (with my friends' strap) and a smaller on the other side to fit the straps this hammock came with. When you receive the hammock, it comes with a hand written post card of the manufacturing city, as well as a tiny pouch native to the area the people believe will bring you good luck - a nice personalized touch! I do love this hammock, but will be buying straps for any width size tree.
