It would be great if it was magnetic for those who use a car vent style magnetic mount rather than ruining the dash with adhesive style mount. Don't like window mount either.

I’m sure it would work, however, that ring would come open constantly. It doesn’t lock shut, the whole ring just locks inside the case.
