RS485 guter USB Adapter
Einsatz am Orange-PI für Solar Assistent. Funktionierte Sofort und dank der LEDs konnte eine Verpolung schnell gefunden werden. Praktisch: Kabel zwischen USB Stecker und der Verschraubung, viel besser zu platzieren als starre Adapter. Driver zeigt an: CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller. Kein Driver Update nötig. Prima.

Ein Adapter wie er sein soll - wird erkannt und signalisiert Datenleitungen
Technisch: anschließen, Treiber wird installiert (hier mit WIN10) , nach < 1 Minute einsatzbereit.Hilfreich ist, dass für beide Datenleitungen je eine LED vorhanden ist. An mehreren Geräten dann in der Folge angeschlossen (bis runter zu WIN7( - immer erkannt und sofort in Funktion.Nutzung: Sehr hilfreich, und dafür auch gekauft, in die Trennung von USB-Anschluss und Gerät, dass nicht der Adapter mit seinem Gewicht an dem USB-Anschluss hängt.Weiterer Vorteil: Mit den Anschlusskabel kommt man gleich näher an das zu testende Gerät und spart sich eigene lange Verbindungsleitungen.Fazit: durchdachter Adapter, noch keine Schwächen/Manko erkannt.

Used this to connect a Linux box up to a Fox H1 Hybrid Inverter. I can now see all of my solar/battery data easily in Home Assistant. No drivers needed, works with a standard Ubuntu install right out of the box.

Perfect - Works Straight out of the Box
I needed this as a Debugger for a Raspberry Pi project that I needed to use the RS-485 Bus. I could use this straight away on the Virtual Comm Port and could use a TTY Terminal to monitor the bus and Squirt Data into it if required. Good Value for money and a great tool if you use RS-485.Screw Terminals are better so you aren't constricted to one connector.
