As almost all other reviews here state, the instructions aren't very clear however I found a fantastic Youtube step-by-step video that made the whole process super easy. Search for the channel "Our Garage Auto Detail".The sound and performance are definite improvements that I noticed straight away after installing this cold air intake, and I'm yet to see the MPG improvements, however I am testing it and will report back on this review.One note, the silicone hose that goes from breather valve does not fit. I went to Autozone and got a few different sizes of replacement silicone hose and found one that fits perfectly (funnily enough the Autozone inside diameter was supposedly 5/8" which is what the included silicone hose is, so not sure how that works), but my suggestion would be to get a foot of replacement hose. I spent a long time trying to fit in the included silicone hose, even cutting a small nick to open up the end but the replacement hose was much, much easier.Everything else fits as supplied and overall, once everything was put together, the install only took about 30 minutes.

This system was pretty easy to install on my 2016 Ram 1500. The box took longer to put together than the actual install did. (Just because the instructions suck) Gives my truck a more throaty sound, like a gargle almost when accelerating. I DID NOT have to cut the hose or the OEM pipe, it all fits, just have to play with it a bit. Gas mileage has gone up a little, probably picked up an extra .8 to 1.5 mpg depending on how and where you drive. I tried it with cover on and off of the filter, no real difference for me. Looks better off IMO. Only negative I have is that minor rattle you hear from the box when you hit a bump. It’s totally secured but shakes a bit. Overall, solid product especially for the price.

This CAI kit was very easy to put together, took me about 1.5 hours, I took my time it’s cold in Wi.. It is a very solid CAI, install was a breeze. Very nice sound, better throttle response not sure about hp gain and so far 2mpg more. And it looks awesome under the hood. That is just with this intake install.I now have an unlocked CPU with a tune in it, hp is up for sure now I am thinking 20+, it has way better throttle response. MPG is up 4.5 with regular driving. The way it looks under the hood in place of the original intake and the sound of the new intake make it well worth it for the price.

Does it work? Yes! Trucks sounds better, beefier! Pickup is quicker and can hear the air intake.Installation? Directions are total horse SH&@^! The rubber hose they give you for the add-on barely fits. You have to use soap to get it on. The A/C hose almost 100% blocks the whole housing from being installed. I have to man handle and slightly bend up the A/C aluminum pipe to get it to actually fit and bolt on. It is NOT a simple drop and go assembly!I would not waste money on a K&N - filters are just about the same and this is just as good of materials. The housing was metal and solid and throttle body hoses are thick plastic and good quality. Works just the same. Just be prepared to man handle the housing together in the truck to fit! GOOD LUCK!

I love it,sounds better and adds some power. Put the idle air sensor in the rubber grommet before you clamp it all down. Would be nice if this rubber piece was bigger on one side so it wouldn’t fall in the tube. All in all this product is worth every penny and then some compared with similar products. I personally didn’t have any trouble at all with the instructions , you will have to cut the factory hose about 11” , (utility knife works fine) but I think this is a pretty cheap and easy part to get if one ever wanted to put it all back factory. Like others I do recommend loctite on any screws without lockwashers

Just installed, so havent had a chance to measure mileage yet, I took my time with assembly and install but yeah instructions suck. As far as sound,performance and look, AWESOME!!! With this price WOW.Will be pulling a 27ft half ton 5th wheel travel trailer and this will definitely give me the extra power I need when climbing 5% hills. This is what you've been looking for. Forget the higher price COLD AIR INTAKES, same your money. This is where the real value is.

let me start by saying , I am a mechanic and have installed many if these kits from different manufacturers , so I picked this one from the reviews most stating that it was as good as the K&N , should have know better ! just installed it on my 2010 ram 1500, 1st the instructions are totally lacking and poorly done , the heat shield has two different pieces that go on the sort of front that mount to finder bracket, have to guess witch one to use for you truck there also is a really cool looking curved piece of stainless that is not on the parts list or the instructions , the fit of the heat shield box to the truck itself is poor with a 1.5 inch gap along the old mount for stock air box , ideally it should be a tight fit so when the hood is closed it only draws the air in from the hole in finder , not the hot air in engine compartment( so it is said cold air intake ), the rubber tube connecting the throttle body to the metal tube was to long on the throttle body end and would hit the top of the hood when closed , had to remove 1 inch to gain clearance , the so called silicone hose to the crankcase vent is not silicone , cheep rubber that split when pushed on to metal tube , for shits and giggles I put the truck on the Dinno before I installed kit it had 426 Hp at rear wheels with stock intake on it , after the kit I had lost 6 HP at it was only 420 , I then sealed up the space where heat shield had gaps with HVAC tape , and tried it again on the Dinno and gained 1 hp to have 427 at wheels , I will be returning it after my new crank case vent tube gets here to replace the tube you that needs to be cut to install this kit , so people don't cheep out and buy the K&N or other kits
