I first bought when I moved and got a small futon that the cats LOVED to scratch. They never touched the futon again. I just upgraded to a. Small sectional with ottoman and luckily, I had some of these left over. I was able to cut them to the sizes I need to cover every corner of the couch/ottoman as well as the back of couch. As you can see in the pictures, they’re barely noticeable. Unless you touch them with your hands or your leg bumps it (or you have long hair, which I do and it sometimes sticks to the tape if I’m not careful) you won’t know it’s there BUT the cats know it and they DONT SCRATCH. Unfortunately for me, they’ve found the parts of the couch I didn’t tape but, that’s a cat problem, not a product problem 😅 highly recommend. Great price and value! 10 sheets can easily be 20+ if your furniture is smaller or you need to cover just small parts 🙂 One con: I did struggle trying to take it off the futon but, I didn’t try for very long as it wasn’t a huge deal to leave it on so, I can’t speak very well to the ease of removal

These instantly got my cat to stop stretching and were easy to apply onto couches and wood surfaces. No scratches went through the material and the stickiness prevented my cat from going back to scratch. The only downside to these are that since they are sticky they attract dirt, hair, lint, and anything else that can get suck to the material causing them to look very very very dirty. They make the sides of couches look dark and dirty which is unpleasant. Unless willing to continuously replace then probably look for plastic covers instead. Can’t really control things getting stuck to sticky items so still give this 5 stars because my cat stopped scratching instantly.

The product deters the cats from scratching and was easy to apply. The adhesive is phenomenal but things like our couch throw and pillow have gotten stuck to it. However, if you do not have anything on your couch these are a great way to deter your cat from ripping through your furniture. Both of my cats have stopped scratching the furniture where the product was applied. Happy customer and would buy again.

This stuff does work. Its incredibly sticky. So sticky that my cat got too close to it and some of his fur got pulled on to it. It didn't hurt him but he definitely didnt like it. Also he stepped on it when it was on the arm rest area and I watched him struggle a little trying to pull his foot off of it. I took it off the arm rest so that wouldnt happen again. But also if your really close to wherever you put this stuff, you will stick to it also lol my pants kept brushing up against it and you can feel it snag and tug on you. This stuff definitely does a good job as a deterrent. But watch your cats and dogs and other animals around it. It WILL snag their fur and pull it off.

My biggest problem I have with this product is that it is falsely advertised. Let me be very clear, these are NOT ANTI CAT SCRATCH FURNITURE PROTECTORS. And you WILL NOT RECEIVE A CORNER COUCH PROTECTOR. This is ACTUALLY double sided TAPE FOR CAT TRAINING. It is sticky on both sides so that the cat will be uncomfortable and, hopefully, not claw that spot on the chair. It is the SAME THICKNESS AS SCOTCH TAPE folks. Does NOT protect your furniture. Simply a training tool. ALSO FALSELY ADVERTISED as being made of NEW materials that can easily be removed, leaving no residue behind on furniture. WARNING-this product should NOT be used on leather or faux leather furniture. Unfortunately, I got it for my leather chair. And I did use it before I found this out. However, there is ONE good thing about this product. It IS transparent. (People, it is not white. Ya gotta peel the backing off. It’s just the backing. Peel it off.) So, what I’m going to do is, stick a piece of clear poster frame plastic over it. I thought about using thick, clear vinyl but the cats will destroy that and then I’ll have that permanently stuck to my chair as well. So, in closing, what you actually get here is some double sided tape folks. And it’s not bad quality, and it’s a pretty good value too, so I don’t know why they would advertise this product under false pretenses. Good luck all! UPDATE: Here we are approximately 8 months later, I just peeled it off and just LOOK at what it did to my chair. Like, OMG it destroyed it. Not only did it take pieces of the chair off with it but NOTHING removes the sticky residue. And believe you me I tried EVERYTHING. Furniture protector? I think NOT!

Protector is working as advertised. Peel and stick, cannot be any easier to attach it. My cats at first tried to scratch, but soon gave up as it feels somewhat sticky after applying. But what is most important, it is nearly invisible once applied on the surface, at least in case of my couch which is made of grey fabric.

My new pup (100 lb German Shepherd) would put her front paws (2 dinner plate sized paws) on the back of my new cloth sofa to say “Hi!”. Unfortunately those dinner plate sized paws have nails/claws and she’s put holes in the fabric…did I mention the couch is BRAND new? I put these sticky sheets on the top back of the couch where she put her paws and waited. She jumped up, put her paws on the sticky sheets, got stuck & jumped back. She looked at the couch like it bit her!! Being a smart GS she sniffed the couch and found where the sticky sheets ended. She stood up on her back legs avoiding the sticky sheets, cocked her head to look at it and poked it with her nose (it stuck!!) and pulling her nose off it. The sticky sheets worked (sort of) until she started to put her paws where the sticky sheet wasn’t. I now have sticky sheets along the back of the couch while waiting for a slipcover/couch protector to be delivered to protect the sofa. I have removed and replaced the sticky sheets several times without residue or damage to the fabric. I did notice a bit of fraying near the holes my dog’s nails made in the couch fabric.

The adhesive is marginal at best, and will likely need to be reapplied with most materials. As for the notion that cats dislike the stickiness, I couldn't say in general, but I can tell you that my cat thinks the outer adhesive is quite tasty. I sincerely hope it is harmless.

I attached this product to both ends of my couch and it is a deterrent for the cats. They do not scratch where this product is. I like that it is clear so not as obvious and adheres easily to the couch, I have had this for quite a while already and so far has not come off.
