Effortless Lawn Care Perfection!
The Ortho Dial N Spray Hose-End Sprayer has become my go-to tool for keeping my lawn and garden in top shape, and Iโm beyond impressed with how easy and effective it is! Whether Iโm tackling weeds, pests, or fertilizing my plants, this sprayer takes all the guesswork out of the process. Itโs a total time-saver and delivers flawless results every timeโhands down, a five-star product! Pros: โข No Mixing, No Mess: Just pour your liquid concentrate into the jar, set the dial, and spray. Itโs so simpleโIโve never had a spill or wasted product, which is a huge win compared to manual mixing. โข Versatile Spray Patterns: The three optionsโbroadcast, jet, and showerโare perfect for any job. I use broadcast for my lawn, jet for high tree branches (it reaches up to 25 feet!), and shower for my delicate flowers. Each one works like a charm. โข Precise Dilution Settings: With 14 settings from 1 teaspoon to 8 ounces per gallon, I can dial in the exact strength I need. Itโs automatic and consistent, so I know my plants are getting the right treatment every time. โข Comfortable Design: The extended-grip handle keeps my hands dry, and the ergonomic trigger feels great even after long sessions. Plus, the rotating hose connector makes it super easy to maneuver. โข Anti-Backflow Bonus: I love that it prevents chemicals from flowing back into my hoseโpeace of mind for safety and water purity. Cons: โข Slight Leak Potential: If you donโt secure the hose connection tightly (or add an extra washer), it might drip a little at first. Itโs an easy fix, but worth mentioning. โข Pickup Tube Could Be Better: The rigid tube sometimes struggles to suck up the last bit of concentrate unless I hold it perfectly level. A flexible, weighted tube would be an upgrade. โข Loud Jet Setting: The jet spray is powerful but noisyโfine for me, but it might startle pets or neighbors if youโre not careful. This sprayer has made lawn care feel like less of a chore and more of a breeze. Itโs durable, user-friendly, and delivers professional-level precision without the hassle. Whether youโre a gardening newbie or a seasoned pro, the Ortho Dial N Spray is a fantastic investmentโfive stars all the way!

Hit and Miss
My second one of this product. The first was a bit of a lemon I believe as the nozzle would not stay seated in the sprayer no matter what I did. Also keep this out of the elements if you want it last. I left mine outside during a freeze and the plastic housing cracked apart. My second item works much better, the nozzle stays well seated when opening and closing. I still intend to keep it out of the elements (heat and cold). I use this exclusively for fertilizing my garden with a concentrated liquid fertilizer. Much easier than mixing a gallon at a time and watering by hand.

Works like a charm!
This sprayer really exceeded my expectations. I bought it because my tap water is very alkaline at pH 8.0, but I've wanted a pH of ideally 6.0-6.7 or so for my outdoor container garden plants. The hose end sprayer delivers the pH Down I added with a consistent pH. I can recover the product to change the solution in the sprayer, which is a very nice feature. The different spray settings click into place nicely. The flow rate is very strong, much stronger and faster than my Miracle-Gro sprayer. I noticed a prominent review for this product suggested defeating the built-in filter mechanism to increase the pressure, saying that filter or governor "doesn't need to be there." False! That's a backflow prevention mechanism, from what I can see! So that should be left in place. From the pressure of my standard household water tap, this sprayer was very powerful and needed no adjustment at all. It filled a quart size container in seconds. All I had to do for this sprayer to work perfectly was connect it... I love it. No issues yet. Here's what I did with my Ortho Dial N Spray to adjust the pH of my container plants: I bought pH Down (Bloom City Professional pH Down Liquid Fertilizer) and followed the instructions on the bottle, adding 1 oz of the pH Down stock to the hose end sprayer container and filling it to the 32 oz line. I then set the dial on the Ortho Dial N Spray to 1 oz and tested the pH using pH paper (Micro Essential Lab 2210 Plastic Hydrion Vivid Short Range pH Test Paper Dispenser, 4.5 - 8.5 pH, Single Roll) and an electronic probe (YINMIK Digital pH Tester for Soil), which gave similar results within 0.2-0.3, indicating a pH of 6.7 +- 0.3. So, it had already brought the pH down into my target range! To acidify the water further, I simply moved the hose end sprayer dial from 1.0 oz setting to 1.5 oz, measured the pH of a quart of the emitted water, and sure enough it had moved further down to 6.4, and there I've kept the dial. I dumped the quart of water, filled another quart, tested the pH, and it has held steady. This leaves no doubts to me that the Ortho Dial N Spray will meter out other concentrates in a steady manner as well. However, I only use pH Down for container plants and do so lightly, because it supposedly contains phosphate, which can pollute waterways. Please use whatever you put in your sprayers in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner!

Ruggedly Built, Holds up to use.
This is a great sprayer. I live in Florida and have an ongoing problem with white flies that live in hedges. I needed a quick way of using concentrated chemical products w/o the hassle of constantly mixing different dilutions. This sprayer does that. I only need to pour in the concentrate and dial in the dilution...Easy Peasy! I tried a similar product from a big box store. It was the same idea but it leaked water from day one and it was more expensive than this one. I've used this one now multiple times and it is ruggedly built. Recommend!

Lawn spray applicator
It worked perfectly for applying moss killer concentrate to my lawn. Buying the concentrate in quantity is much more cost-effective than getting small containers with moss killer in them (like Scotts) that attach to a hose.

Fertilizer sucking tube in the container does not stay attached
This is a huge improvement over my previous fertilizer sprayer. I use this to broadcast organic liquid worm composting tea. 1. It doesn't leak 2. It has good water pressure, with good range when connected to the hose 3. It has various spraying capacities, like a regular hose connector 4. Great dial to choose the amount of fertilizer, as needed; desired My biggest complaint is the little connecting tube, in the container, used to suck out the fertilizer. This does not stay connected. This is very frustrating. The first time I used it, the amount of fertilizer in the container did not seem to be going down. After unscrewing the lid, I realized the sucking attachment device was not attached. I reattached it, it started to suck up the fertilizer, then stopped again. I have to pay close attention to see if it is sucking and or still attached. I had to stop and reattach it several times. This was very time consuming and frustrating. Could not find product support for this problem. Will attempt to dry it out and super glue it on. If it weren't for that, I would give it 5 stars. Good luck!

Easy to use!
For people with larger than postage stamp yards this is so easy to use. I use it fro all of my spraying for the lawn and gardeen and its dials make mixing easy and safe. Easy to clean. Significant improvement over previous sprayers I've had!

Useless in the UK
Leaks really badly, needs an extra adapter to use in the UK, expensive, took 3 weeks to arrive - in all, a waste of money. I wish I had read the reviews more thoroughly before I bought it. Unfortunately, I didnโt test it out until the return date had passed, otherwise it would have gone back!

Fantastic with a couple of issues
Once I got the unit sealed it is fantastic but it tool a lot of experimenting and plumbers tape to stop it from leaking. It didn't come with a click on hose connector.
