Hafi Swedish Cloudberry Preserves, 14.1 oz Jar

Delightful Swedish Preserves, with their own unique taste.

As delicious as it was back when these were sold at Ikea. Wish they were cheaper but that's inflation for you. Would get again for holidays.

"Hafi Swedish Cloudberry Preserves are like a part of heaven is in my mouth. I love it on bagels, ice cream, Pulla, a Finnish cardamum bread.

This arrived in perfect shape and tastes great. I can't compare it to other cloudberries since this jam is my first venture into cloudberries as a whole, but the only con (personally) to note is the amount of seeds. The product info makes no note of having seeds but it has quite the number of it. They weren't too hard to filter out with a mesh strainer, but while I was a bit sloppy at doing so (the seed concentration near the end made it very hard to strain any more), I did lose about 10-15% of the contents after removing seeds. I did try making a peanut butter and cloudberry sandwich with it, with seeds, and ended up just picking the seeds off of the sandwich since they were sadly too noticeable for my liking and would get caught in my molars. Only taking off a star because the product itself makes no mention of having seeds.

Tart and citrusy. Very delicious. One downside is the little crunchy bits that I assume are the seeds.

Almost expired by the date on the lid. Not the greatest tasting.

A couple of the skincare creams I use are from the Finnish skincare line, Lumene. In Lumene's Vitamin C skin cream line, they describe using arctic cloudberries. And many times when I would use the creams, I would wonder how arctic cloudberries tasted like. I've visited Sweden and Finland almost five years ago, and they have unique and tasty cuisine. This Swedish cloudberry preserve from Hafi is pleasant and lovely like the country of Sweden. The taste is mildly sweet and tart. It tastes great eating alone by spoon, on bread, and warmed up on top of ice cream and pancakes. I think Hafi's cloudberry preserves would make an excellent gift for someone you know. I bought one for a friend who loves cooking, baking, eating sweet things, and ironically, buying things with clouds. My family members love all kinds of fruit preserves, jams, and jellies, and this Hafi cloudberry preserves was no exception! This jar of preserves is 40 calories per serving and its ingredients are: sugar, wild cloudberries, pectin (gelling agent), citric acid (acidity regulator), and potassium sorbate (preservative). Like another Amazon reviewer, ExCobraPilot, said, this jar is kind of expensive, but at the same time, it's nice to try new things, and it's not every day that you can say that you had a cloudberry treat! Overall, I'm satisfied with this versatile, delicious treat!

This product is the Americanized version of a Swedish product, which I remember from Sweden as a delicacy. This product is filled with preservatives and other additives as well as a huge amount of sugar. The taste of cloudberries is virtually masked. It tastes like a typical sugary, otherwise tasteless, American jam. What a shame to have to appease the American Government food tyrants.
