Exactly as Described
It’s a white lampshade base and yes comes rolled so you will have to train it back to flat to work with it easier. I weighed it down with heavy books for a couple of days while I gathered all my materials. Sticks to linen well, and a bit forgiving to make some adjustments while attaching. That said, I don’t think I can use it again. The 19” roll came with enough for two Med to large shades. That’s about 20 each, so pretty decent value. This is my first attempt in construction. It’s a odd shape, so I will definitely just do the bottom first, then top and adjust. In any case, this does exactly what it was meant to do.

Sturdy but curly
Sturdy product. Could not unroll flat so it was difficult to use.

Great idea , tricky to use
So I watched the video and decided to use this product. I had purchased the fabric for bell shaped lampshade before I bought the sticky styrene.. The included instructions were confusing. (I have been sewing and going crafts for homes etc for 45 to 50 yrs.) . So , I knew where to make adjustments in the instructions. In addition, I bought 2 sided clear narrow extra adhesive tape to use on the fabric edge (fabric had been applid to the sticky styrene) to stick to the metal lamp shade. The edges of the sticky styrene did not stick WELL to the end pieces . So, i used a lot of small clips applied to the edges as we rolled the rim onto the styrene. Also, it took 4 hands to do the rolling/attaching of styrene to the rim/metal lampshade. .. I believe it would have been simpler if the lampshade had been a straight, cylinder shape as opposed to a bell shape. I used the double sided tape to seal/finish the point where 2 edges formed a "seam".

My lamp shade is like brand new and so easy to do.
Wow, I did not know you could replace the firm plastic inner lining of a perfect lamp shade until now. So easy and beautiful.
