Absolute best Bluetooth Quad Pedal for Musicians!
The PageFlip Dragonfly USB/Bluetooth Pedal is the absolute best companion device for musicians for hands-free control over their sheet music apps running on an iOS or Android Tablet. The 4-pedals operate silently. You do not hear any clicks when pushed making this device ideal in a studio setting. I have been using this device to turn pages in MobileSheets, Songbook+ and ForScore on a 12.9” iPad Pro. You can download the free software from PageFlip to program the pedals on your PC or Mac after establishing a Bluetooth connection. This software lets you assign Keys found on a standard QWERTY keyboard including modifiers like Ctrl, Alt, Shift and Win/Cmd. You may also assign Hot Keys like Play, Stop, Volume Up, Volume Down, Mute, Right Mouse, Left Mouse, etc. Once you have programmed the 4 pedals, you can save these settings under one of the 5 memory banks called Modes. The 5 Mode Buttons gives you access to 20 key combinations that you can trigger from your Dragonfly. One mode can be active at a time. The red LED below a Mode Button indicates the active mode. Besides turning pages in Sheet Music apps the Dragonfly is ideal for triggering frequently used hot keys on desktop software running on your PC or Mac. I have programmed it to take Screenshots in IrfanView and Snagit and navigate through cells on large Excel spreadsheets. Turning on the REPEAT switch comes in handy. I keep the LIGHT switch always turned on. It helps to see the pedals in the dark. The Dragonfly runs on 2 AA alkaline batteries. The unit auto shuts off after 30 minutes on idle. You can view a short video on the PageFlip YouTube Channel where George Wolberg, the inventor of this gadget explains his frustrations as a musician trying to turn the pages on his music book while he plays the piano. That is what led to his perfect solution. I am delighted with the prompt and helpful Customer Service from George. I am 100% satisfied with the PageFlip Dragonfly. It has served all my needs as a musician and programmer.

Best page turning pedal I have used
It's not often that I find a device that just does everything I need it to do so easily and reliably. The PageFlip Firefly does this for me. (And no I don't work for this company but I wish I had invented it.) I absolutely love this pedal. Amazing quality and Customer Service is thorough and provides help if needed. I've tried a number of page turning pedals and this one always performs consistently and reliably. The 2 pedals (page forward & back in my usual mode) are easy to find and, if I'm in a dark room, the optional light on each pedal works great for finding the correct button to press. Battery life is crazy long too. I play drums and my feet and hands are busy working to play the music so it is imperative that when I take my foot off a drum pedal that I can get back on it after going to the PageFlip without loosing a beat. Everyone in my last band used this pedal as well for Guitar, Keyboard & Bass. They loved it too.

Godsend
The PageFlip Firefly BT pedal is a godsend to musicians using digital score readers. It makes page-turning an absolute breeze, almost like the score’s pages are effortlessly turning themselves. This pedal has removed much of my stress during public piano performances. I find it superior to the AirTurn pedal in several ways. As a classical pianist who practices several hours a day, I had been using the AirTurn pedal for about two years. I switched to the PageFlip Firefly about six months ago. I’ve used both pedals with the forScore and Newzik score-reading apps. Advantages, in no particular order, of the PageFlip Firefly over the AirTurn: The PageFlip Firefly is less finicky than the AirTurn. I no longer have to worry about inadvertently turning two pages at once; The PageFlip is easier to find with my foot. The shape of the pedal matches the shape and angle of my foot on the floor. The lightly-corrugated, rather than slick, surface feels more secure; The PageFlip BT pairing mechanism is simple, straightforward, and immediate, whereas the AirTurn is more complex and can be very frustrating to attempt to pair; The PageFlip is more substantial, seems better-made, and seems not to slide on the floor so much; My experience with customer support for the PageFlip (when I wanted to re-program certain pedal functions) was outstanding. My experience with AirTurn’s customer service (when I had trouble pairing with my iPad a couple of times, and once when the pedal failed) varied from excellent to horrible, depending on whom I reached. In the past several months, several of my amateur and professional friends, colleagues, and musical partners have upgraded from the AirTurn to the PageFlip Firefly; they express general agreement about superior functionality. Usage TIP: You can make the process almost effortless—and avoid unnecessary movement, stress, and musical disruption—by resting your foot on the PageFlip pedal itself, rather than on the u.c. (pianists), the floor, or perched at an angle above the pedal. Before you start playing the piece, rest your foot (all the way down) on the Firefly pedal, it turns the score to p.2. Don’t move your foot, and use your finger to tap the iPad to turn back to p. 1. Keep your foot down as you start playing. To turn each page, lift your foot up a bit, then lower it all the way to rest on the pedal again until the next page turn. (Note: For this to work, the Repeat switch on the pedal must be in the off position.)

the PageFlip Firefly is a GREAT product! I use the Firefly with my iPad ...
First of all, the PageFlip Firefly is a GREAT product! I use the Firefly with my iPad Pro running forScore. I play live gigs where I am singing, playing keys and guitar, and running another computer to trigger my background sequences. So, there is a lot to do, with my hands, between each song. Firefly allows me to easily page through each song with my foot. One less thing I have to think about, and the Firefly does the job, without me having to worry if it will work or not. It is that reliable! The Firefly works as advertised and it is a wonderful addition to my setup. The pedal is brilliantly designed. The physical layout has been intelligently configured with buttons and switches on the front and connection options on the backside. It comes with a quickstart guide for setup instructions. Reliability is the most important thing for my gig. The Firefly delivers flawlessly! I just step on the pedal and it turns the page I need to go to. There are also several options that allow you to configure the behavior of the pedal. Aside from the fact that the Firefly is awesome, I have to say that PageFlip's customer service is the BEST! This is the only review I have ever done, and it's because PageFlip deserves it. I had some questions, and I contacted PageFlip. Their response was quick and more helpful than I ever imagined. I love my pedal evenmore now! I would recommend the PageFlip Firefly over other brands anyday!

*Updated review*
Edit to add: I contacted PageFlip's customer support team on the phone. They were very helpful and sent me a replacement, which works great so far! Much happier. Thanks! Previous review: I had a PageFlip Firefly for 8 years and had no issues. Finally, the Bluetooth connection started getting spotty so I decided to replace it. I didn't even think twice about getting another brand as I was so happy with mine. Sadly, the first one I received did not work at all. The right pedal was so stiff that it was very difficult to actually push it hard enough to turn the pages. The left pedal has no issue. I contacted customer service and got a replacement. The replacement was just slightly better, but still, sometimes I will push the right pedal 20 times before it actually turns the page! Needless to say, that is not reliable enough for performance. This time I contacted the company directly about my problem. They said they would send me a replacement, but that was at the beginning of July. It's now the end of July and I have not heard back from them or received the replacement. It's past the return window and I lost money on this. Very disappointed.

This is awesome!
This is the best midi page turning. It's a must for all musicians using ForScore and the like. The extra pedals are great for starting a metronome or an attached MP3 for play back. Makes practice so much more efficient. You'll notice a big increase in productivity. Battery last forever. The auto off, for when you forget, is good too. I've relied on that too many times. Btw––I returned a cheaper, more simple, midi controller in favor of this one and don't regret a single thing.

This thing works.
It works! Would be nice if it had a rechargeable battery when you plug it in, but it uses so little juice, it's not a problem.

Takes time to get used to
Playing professionally 15+ years. New to going paperless. *Pros.: I like that it is mostly simple to use. Seems to not drain the battery. Easy to connect to an IPad Pro. Seems sturdy. Used it 10x in an orchestral pit for a theatrical production. The lights on the pedals are easy to find, and were necessary in the dark. Doesn’t advance too many pages at a time. But will advance many pages quickly if you hold it down intentionally. *Con’s: Moved around on a carpeted floor quite a bit. (Thin carpet, not plush.) Also, took some getting used to, to find the correct pressure needed to advance the page. Sometimes didn’t flip, and caused a pause in my playing as I tried to advance the score. (I practiced with it and improved, but still got hung up bad one time.) Tempted to give it 4 stars, but thinking I need more practice, and on different surfaces. I’ll be updating as needed. Also: Somewhat bulky in storage and during transit in my case. And… Doesn’t fit squarely or strap down well. Lol. Go figure. (It’s not square or flat! ) I’ll probably get a small bag for it.

A bespoke carry case would be a nice accessory.
Plug and play. Works well with a galaxy tab and music sheets. A bespoke carry case would be a nice accessory.

Awful customer service
Bought the Dragonfly, mainly for scrolling left / right. Unfortunately these are on the secondary buttons which are a little more fiddly to locate with your foot rather than the large primary button. Downloaded the software to programme them differently. On a Mac this is greeted with “malicious content cannot be verified”. Emailed the help desk three times and got the same reply “watch the video”. This doesn’t address the issue. In the end I risked it. The Dragonfly pairs easily to the Mac. It shows it’s connected and works using the secondary button, the software, however merely shows “disconnected” and won’t let you programme anything. After weeks of fruitless trying sent it back for a refund. However, I did buy a Firefly, which requires no programming and works out of the box without having to contact the manufacturer, which is a bonus, as they are unhelpful and a little unfriendly.

Hace lo que todos.
Lo pedí porque se me había roto el antiguo. No quería arriesgarme a otra barca peor es más caro que la competencia. No me llegó a tiempo.
