Great item and remote is terrific

The Nexigo N9440P webcam is a great option for those in the market for a high-resolution webcam at an affordable price. I have been using the webcam for about 2 weeks mainly with a desktop computer running Windows 10 and a higher end gpu. I also tested this on a Dell 12in XPS running Windows 11.The installation process was straightforward and the inclusion of a tripod screw made it easy to mount the webcam on a tripod or Gorillapod. The USB cord provided was long enough to accommodate placing the webcam on a 32-inch monitor and it could easily be plugged into a machine on the floor.The software for the webcam was easy to find through a quick web search and was simple to install on both Windows 10 and 11. The user interface is clear and straightforward, and the ability to save presets was a nice added feature. The webcam performed well with the popular video conferencing platforms such as Google Meet, Teams, and Zoom, with the only issue being a slight cropping in Zoom that could be adjusted with the Nexigo software.The webcam supports resolutions up to 2K but I found that 1920x1080 at 60fps worked the smoothest. While the resolution goes up to 2560x1440, you only get 60fps at 1920x1090. The picture quality was pretty grainy, especially in the shadows, on both my desktop and laptop, but was still much better than the built-in camera on my Dell laptop.The mic on the Nexigo N9440P was clear and there was no background noise. However, it did sound tinny compared to a dedicated mic like the Yeti Blue, but again for the money it works totally fine. The auto-focus worked great and was able to quickly change focus when placing a printed image close to the lens. Some people may not like the security patch that you have to stick on, but I appreciated the option of not having it and it looked fine once it was on. I did have to re-do it as I had the sliding piece cover the in-use indicator light when it was open.In conclusion, the Nexigo N9440P webcam is a great option for those looking for an affordable webcam with higher resolutions. The installation process is easy, the software is simple to use, and it performs well with popular video conferencing platforms. The picture quality is not the best but still better than my laptop in-built camera and the mic is clear. The auto-focus is great, the security patch is a nice added feature. Overall, I would recommend this webcam as a good value for the price.

This is a great webcam, the only down side is the privacy shutter which is a stick on shutter. When this put on thr camera and is open it obsequious one of the webcam sensors. This wasn't a problem for me, I just don't fit it.

The camera was easy to install and it worked immediately. I particularly liked the shutters that you could obscure the camera. Lights, Camera, Action, Hollywood here I come.

The camera video quality is very good indeed, but the selling point to me was the ability to zoom in the picture with the remote and move it so you could be in the centre of the screen. Brilliant!

Temperamental. Sometimes connects first time but not always.Very nasty security lens cover. Might as well use tape!Hoping for more usable zoom and pan and tilt.Usable but ultimately disappointed.

The worst webcam ever used. From the description it looked professional but the box and device and how it performed on windows was terrible. It died after 2 months. Waste of money

review is for NexiGo N940P 2K Zoomable Webcam with Remote and Software Controls. Couple of points i failed to note in the decsription which are critical although not for what I needed. The camera will not do 3x zoom at 2K it will only zoom if you have set the resolution low enough so that the sensor can zoom!!! So even at the highest 1080p 30fs you can use zoom you don't get 3x zoom (ok it was in the dsecription!!). Then for a £90 camera at full price the lens cover is absolutely RUBBISH its a stick on cheap thing (ok they give you 2). This I think is the cause of people saying the remote doesn't work. If you fit it so that the cover doesn't obscure the active light then it covers the invisible remote sensor. SO you can either have the light or the remote. I canabalised my old webcam cover so it flips down; really how much would it have cost to do this vaguely properly. The camera itself seems great and remote works well. Solved my problem of a too wide angle lens and now people have to look at me closely. Not good for them!

I really like this! It took me "Mrs Not-Technical" some time to figure it out! The manual is pretty useless for first timers like me AND the print is TINY!!! Even my friend with good eyesight borrowed my 2.0 readers;)))) More time needed to search out the manual online for bigger print and therefore ease of reading!Anyway, regardless of what the manual said, I tried and tried but couldn't find the Nexigo on my laptop once I plugged everything in. I could see the APP but when I opened the camera APP it was always the HP pre installed one... very frustrating!! Then I tried all the GOOGLE info but none said the following... "Disable the pre-installed camera APP" I took a chance with some common (not technical, sense) and disabled the pre installed camera on my HP laptop. Yay!!! There it was! The NexiGo camera !!I also downloaded the NexiGo software (consider myself a professional now:) and played around with that too giving me some nice color/light options etc... Without this software tho the camera is great, but just some nice extra touches from the software and you can save the different settings too.The remote is a great idea! It is very responsive and I LOVE the zoom in and out feature. My patients don't need to see my cats walking behind me:) which I know they always do, and I am able to get a good fill of my head and shoulders in the screen.I would have loved it to be a clip-on webcam... I find the way it attaches to my laptop feels somewhat fragile and does not leave many options for position or raising. I will be taking the webcam on and off as I am remotely working in different places with my laptop so putting it on and off leaves me a bit nervous as it doesn't attach very securely and takes some time to replace in the right spot every time.All in all Im going to say I'm happy. Im a clinical mental health therapist and will be using a video platform for therapy sessions so wanted something with serious options and clarity. This fits the bill so far. I have yet to use it for business as this review its just after I managed to install it and do some self positive psychology therapy on myself after all the frustrations of installing it... ha! Of course many reviews say it's easy to install and use, so I'm going to admit it's highly likely "lack of new user technical knowledge" that being me:)Go ahead and try it. I find that technology is never a one size fits all so regardless of other and my review try it for yourself!

La cámara tiene una calidad de imagen increíble, la marca la conocía ya y es de lo mejor. Es además ligera y cómoda, la puedes enganchar a la pantalla sin problema alguno. Como única pega decir que no tiene un protector que cierre el ocular para evitar una situación de espía, muy improbable, pero basta con desconectar el usb o con ponerle uno de esos cobertores que venden los chinos. En fin, que la compra merece sobradamente cada céntimo y funciona como un tiro, mejor que otras que valen 4 veces más. Muy recomendada sin duda
