The elk print is raised ink that probably won't last forever, but does seem like it will last a good while. The knife itself is surprisingly good quality. Out of the box, it easily passes the paper test. You could use it right away. I was also impressed with the shipping: I ordered it on Saturday, and it arrived that Friday.It's exceeded my expectations, and I'll be coming back to this listing to get matching ones for other people in my life. A gift to impress that won't break the bank and, even better, is something they'll actually use.
