Inexpensive option, but does the job.
Works well for me.A couple notes. Thicker projects might require a thinner plate or you may have to set Z from the machine bed. Z probes in general do not work with diamond tipped bits.

Works great to set your Z axis height
I like the size of the lower part, it's substantial and makes it easy to position it. I created a holder for it on the top of my Z axis as the weight is not significant. There is plenty of wire attached to the device to get back to your control board.
