With the winter months drawing in I felt I was in need of some extra hydration for my skin. I came across these beauty capsules and thought I'd give them a go. I'm really impressed, my skin looks smoother, more hydrated and they are perfect under make-up, infact my make-up seems to stay on longer from using them.At the moment I only need to use one capsule a day. I noticed Solv. also have other capsules within the range, especially the retinol which I might also give a go. I would recommend.

I was so impressed how soft and my skin feels after I applied it.

I like to use a hyaluronic acid serum to my skincare regime to attempt to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles. There are many reasonably priced brands out there which have a hyaluronic acid in their range with more product at a cheaper price. And although the little pods are biodegradable, they are still packaged in a blister pack so I find them fiddly and time consuming to use. I also find that sometimes the pod bursts lower down when I am trying to twist off the top, though because it is so thick and gloopy, it doesn’t drip off my hand thankfully. I also noticed that the product came out of the pod with a purple tinge in parts, which I take to mean the pod is starting to biodegrade into the contents…That said, I kind of like how silicone heavy this product is. It is very, very thick and gloopy by serum standards. It’s more of a gel I’d say. It has a lot of slip because of the dimeticone (silicone) which is good for spreading over the face, and it also can have the effect of blurring the pores somewhat. However, you can buy a dimeticone based primer and a separate hyaluronic acid separately which would most likely be better value, as you only get 14 days worth of product.So I don’t think I’d buy this product again when I run out. As I feel there is too much packaging, even if it is partly biodegradable, the quantity of product is too little for the money and not everyone wants a lot of silicone in their serum as depending on which foundation you use, it could cause your makeup to pill off into little bobbles.

Doses of this serum are contained in soft vials, you pull of the end and squeeze the serum out.I ended up losing some of the liquid as it shot out of the end and fell on my carpet.I still had enough to cover my face and neck but you need to be careful when opening the vials.The serum is semi translucent and not runny like some I’ve tried.It absorbs quickly and didn’t leave any oily residue or shine on my face.My skin felt smoother after applying it but I don’t think it’s hydrating enough to use on it own, so I applied my usual moisturiser afterwards.Recommendations are to use it twice a day for at least 8 weeks. That would mean spending £10 a week solely on this serum, too expensive for most budgets unfortunately.I’m yet to see any improvement in my wrinkles but it does add an extra dose of hydration to my ageing skin, so this can only be a good thing.I’ve had no adverse reactions, I do occasionally get a spotty outbreak when using new products but I’ve been fine with this.I like the biodegradable aspects of the product, the capsule dissolves in water but to then package it in solid plastic and foil really defeats what you’re trying to achieve.I’m happy to use up all the capsules in the pack but I doubt if I’d buy any more as it’s just too expensive compared to other serums.Hope you found my review helpful

I tried this product from subscription box, and after first use I ordered myself more of this and other serums as well. I was so impressed how soft and hydrated my skin feels after I applied it. This brand makes amazing product

These face serums come in a little box and are packaged into blister packs. I found this strange, because they boast quite heavily about how the capsules the serum is contained in are so eco and dissolve in water – but what does it matter how eco the pods are if they are all packed into a largely non-recyclable blister pack?The pod is also not very practical to use – they are quite difficult to snap open and then the serum oozes out due the pressure you need to exert to grip it.The serum itself is quite thick, unlike most serums – presumably they thickened them to prevent them from basically bursting everywhere when trying to get them open. However, I found these ones left a rather unpleasant greasy residue on my face and I felt like it wasn’t really soaking in or doing much by way of hydration.Overall disappointing in every aspect really. I wouldn’t recommend these

This box includes 14 small capsules - at first I was a bit skeptical as I was unsure whether it would be enough for my entire face. Luckily I was wrong as I was able to get the product on my entire face!After the first use, my skin immediately felt soft, almost like silk - which it never feels like. I have a combination type skin but this did not feel oily at all and I did not break out.After a couple of uses (I've nearly used the whole box), my face feels a bit softer even if I haven't used the capsules yet that day, and I believe my wrinkles have become less noticeable as well, however I believe it is still too early to comment on the full results. More noticeable results could be after using another box or two.The capsules are easily degradable (put in hot water) and mostly waste-free as they contain just the right amount of product. This makes them eco-friendly but with higher costs of production, comes higher prices. I do believe they're a bit more expensive than other brands but they do good for the planet and for your skin as well.I highly recommend this product!
