Has anyone confirmed they are compostable? I see a couple people saying they’ll be trying...curious if it worked!

They are not compostable. The scrubber on the sponges they sent me is recycled plastic. The print on the package says so, unlike they package photo they present for the product.

The Product Description listed plastic as one of the materials. How is it then composible?

This product is NOT plastic free. The scrubber portion is made of recycled plastic. I emailed the company and here is their reply: “ The walnut scrubber portion has a small amount of recycled plastic as a binder to hold the scrubbing material together. The white cellulose portion of the sponge can be separated and composted, the scrubber portion can be recycled with plastics. In addition, we do not recommend composting walnuts, as they release a natural compound that can degrade the nutrients in a compost heap.”

Do they come wrapped in plastic?
