They work.....you need to be strategic about placement, but it was the only thing that worked.
For two weeks, I tried using electric zap traps and havaheart traps and I could not catch this rat. It was very, very smart. I also used a trail cam to try and figure out its habits and while I think the sticky traps are the least humane option, after trying for two weeks without success, I felt I had no other option if I was going to try and get this thing out of my office. It was chewing wires, eating our dogs food, chewing through door frames, etc. I had to screw them down on 1 inch strapping or they'd get tossed because of its size. I also put food and water in the middle of the room and circled it with barriers it couldn't climb and sticky traps so he had no choice but to cross its path and it did after the third night of shifting around the barriers.

It really works
For over a month now, this little mouse has taunted us. I spotted it at different places throughout the house but could never catch it. At one time, we had 7 mouse traps laid at different corners throughout the house, we used cheese, peanut butter, fruit, raw peanut, humus (yes humus that's how desperate we were) as baits, but it never took the bait. We once blocked a bedroom door and tossed the whole room to hunt for it because I saw it ran into the room, but failed to find it. I started to lose sleep thinking there is a mouse under my bed and be waken up by slightest sound at night. My kids started to call it the Einstein of the rats, and my wife started to question whether I really saw a mouse or I was hallucinating. I finally bought 4 Glue Traps and laid it out at places I spotted the mouse and used peanut butter as the bait, for the first week there was nothing not a single mouse foot print on the trap. Then last night while sitting at my desk I saw it running into a closet right next to me, I really think it was mocking me. I immediately laid all my glue traps under the closet door plus two spring traps, but my hope wasn't too high because this has happened before and the darn thing just disappeared like Houdini. You can't imagine my excitement this morning when I saw it stuck on the glue trap, I woke up the whole family to come and see it while the mouse was still struggling to get out of the trap. A little cruel but I earned it. Thank you for making this strong glue trap, it works, and works excellently.

Rat got free...twice
Have 7.5 hours of vids of Mr. Norway Rat caught and freeing himself by eating the glue. He came back the next night to shake his glue covered ass at the trail cam. Caught a off camera Rat in two traps next to each other, pee, poop and fur is all we got from those 2.

Very effective. Nail it down though to secure or capture larger rats
I put three or four of these in my attic and the very first night I heard a rat get in it but he did escape. The next night as you can see I caught one in the attic and then another larger rat that I did not take a photo of was also caught in the trap. I think had I nailed the trap down I would've caught the first rat but he was fairly large obviously and was able to escape. I had purchased some smaller glue traps but they did not work well at all especially for larger rodents. I would always recommend buying larger glue traps no matter the size of the road it so you stand a better chance of capture. These traps are fairly large and the one rat I caught was a decent size so I know it will do the job. Again, make sure you nail them down or secure them well if you're trying to capture a larger rat with it to ensure they do not escape.

Very effective
Of all the rat and mouse traps I have recently tried these are far and away the most effective, Anything that walks on this very sticky glue is caught. The current quality of "Snap Traps" is dismal and the humane box traps are simply not very effective--regardless of bait. The downside to these "industrial strength" glue traps is that the rodent will often be still alive--they tend to give up the struggle and go to sleep--and you will have to "dispatch" them. A quick whack with the sharp edge of a spatula or trowel provides instant death. You cannot release them from the glue and the trap and all have to be discarded. When you are at your "wits end" to reduce your indoor rodent population this is the way to go,BTW they are easy to handle without getting the glue on your hands either when setting or discarding. They are a heavy and work best with bait--putting the bair on a little strip o aluminum foil allows freshening the bait without trying to wrestle it from the glue.
