Q: Are these dishes microwave safe?

Do not put in the microwave.. this material does release nitrogen when heated and can be toxic. The FDA releases that these plates are safe to use but do not heat ever it will cause toxicity in the food and very few cases if the plates are marked for microwave use allowed only then should you put can use those mark specifically but only at low heat.. these are not mark for microwave.. also beware of use right after washed from dishwash..
