Where can you get "strike anywhere" matches? What is the purpose of the striker on the side if you can't get matches that work with it?

Strike anywhere matches can be bought on Amazon or a local store nearby for example. There’re 2 ways to strike matches: 1) STRIKER ON BOTTOM, can be used for all matches (such as regular, safety and strike anywhere matches) 2) BROWN VERTICAL STRIKER ON POT, can ONLY be used for strike anywhere matches Hope this clarifies.

Can someone explain how to use these? Either i am doing it wrong or they simply do not work to light a match.
