Q: Will it fit my 1972 D-35?

Hello, Unfortunately, it won't be an exact match as Martin used non-compensated saddles at that time. Replacing a non-compensated saddle with a compensated saddle could have a negative impact on your intonation, as the saddle slot angle may be different. The saddle length/thickness might be close, but would likely need minor adjustments to fit your guitar's slot. Wood bridges will shift over time and this can result in a slightly wider or narrower saddle slot. Saddle height will vary for every guitar, even from the factory. We suggest that you measure your current saddle as well as your bridge saddle slot before ordering. Also check your intonation. This saddle will have backward compensation for the B and Bass E strings, which can affect your intonation versus a non-compensated saddle.
