We all know that Govee products are the best. They are quality products with quality power sources that you don't have to worry about catching on fire. (Becareful with some brands of leds. Their power sources are cheap and scary at times) but Govee you don't have to worry about that you are getting a good solid product for a good price!! The one huge advantage of Govee is their Home app which works with almost all of their products and is amazing. Let me just talk about the app!! Let's say you have 4 different led strips that you currently are using. A couple have remote controls and a couple have apps. And the ones with apps are different brands. So to control those 4 strips you would many times have to control them 4 different ways, go into the apps separately and find your remotes and tell each Individual strip to do what you want. Kind of alot. Just to turn on your lights. But the Govee home app like I said which is available on almost all of their products. Changes this completely. When setting up most of the Govee products you set them up through the home app which makes life easy. You download the home app one time. So say you buy 30 different products or more (it's a hypothetical lol) don't judge me lol. Anyway the home app you already downloaded will be the app you use to set up any new light strips or products from Govee. Including the lamps and all the other products they sell. So now set is really easy and your done. Not so fast. Remember the 4 strips earlier you were controlling 4 different ways. Well with Govee you can control all of those strips all from the same app. No more closing out of one app to going into another. They are all right here in the same place. You can name them, rename them, Put them in order, put your lights in groups, and tons more. Many of the newer versions. Have this sync ability, that allows you to connect all 4 sets of lights through the app and make them kind of work as one unit. Syncing all the colors and everything together. Let's say you have 2 sets in the living room and 2 sets in the bedroom. You can use the app to sync them all and then turn on music, and the lights will respond all together. Even the ones in the bedroom. It's really cool. Sure the app makes it really easy to control the lights no matter how many you have. But there is a world of other things you can do as well. Create your own DIY sequences, there are "scenes" which are sequences already created for you for different occasions like christmas, halloween, valentines day and so many more. You can join the Govee community and put your sequences on your profile for others to see what you've created. You can look at other creative sequences from all over and even download someone elses sequence if you like what they've done. You can chat with Govee reps and ambassadors, who will give advice and help with any problems you might come across. . You can actually download a picture from your phone and have the lights scan the picture and set the scene according to the colors of the pictures. I could talk all night about the app alone, but until you actually see it. You won't believe the things you can do. I love it!! All my lights are in one place in the order I choose and can be all controlled by one app. That is unbelievably super convient!! And that's just the app. These lights have changed the game in LEDs, and no matter what lights you choose or what company you go with. You should expect the same quality service and features you get with Govee for free.. You pay good money for your lights. They should do everything they can to make your lights safe, convient, and fun!!. Trust me I'm a huge fan Of all Led products basically, but especially strip lights. I've tried tons of products from all over the world and all types of strip lights. There are some really good ones, and some really really bad and dangerous ones out there. The same can be said about the so called apps that others say can run their lights. They are confusing, don't flow well, and many times written in A language you don't understand. Not to mention you have to deal with shady apps and websites to get them up and running. That is not the case here!! Look at their fan base, look at the numbers they sell, they wouldn't sell those numbers or have such a good following if their product was garbage. So I hope this helped with understanding a little more about the home app. It's a powerful tool. That is absolutely free with your lights. Enjoy!! And just a disclaimer. I use these in my podcast studio and as background lights for my YouTube setup, and they’re clutch. Super lightweight, easy to set up, and if you want clean straight lines just use a laser and a level and it comes out perfect. The color options are endless there’s tons of different looks depending on the vibe you want. The cord length is solid too, so you’re not fighting to find the nearest outlet. And durability wise? I’ve had a pair running basically all day for almost two years and they’re still going strong. Bright, consistent, no issues. Govee really makes solid products. If you’re building out a studio or need clean ambient lighting, these are 100% worth it.

***please read ADVICE below if you’re not familiar with this product. Govee has impressed me with great quality, easy install, full spectrum RGB, and convenience through their app. Things like themes although novelty are nice to have. The app is very functional, timers, brightness, custom RGB shading, everything really. “You never have to walk into a dark room” is the normal now and this meets expectations plus more. Ambient music function is hilariously accurate when it picks up my wife’s laugh. ADVICE- if you do as instructed from the box testing the lights to see they work before you install: if they do not turn on at all and you’re sure you plugged everything properly secured please pair the lighting through the app first to upgrade the firmware. Sometimes they won’t turn on at all straight from the box because of their firmware needing updated. But once complete they are fully functional. The adhesive is very durable 3M, it’s repositional without losing quality of stick. The LED lighting has very generous bend radius to stick flat even with a 90° hard bend. Would recommend any of these products to anyone. I do use one set for my closet internal lighting. Even if I don’t have my phone near to switch them on specifically I still have the simple power button to use in the moment mounted. It turns on already configured to how I last left it. Comparable to other LED lighting side-by-side these are more vibrant, noticeably better. Plus having every lighting or module component easily accessible by a smart device is a blessing compared to a dozen tiny coin battery remotes that may interfere with another in or around the room. I can’t tell you how many times before I switched to these lights- I’d turn on a lamp with one tiny no name remote, then use another remote to turn on my tv backlight but these frequencies mean different things per no name device so my lamp would change registering my tv remote as this horrendous seizure and panic inducing strobe effect. Now I’m scrambling to get the lamp remote to make it stop lol. It’s so much better being all condensed to one place that’s not tiny generic cheap remotes velcro’d to random places.

Lightweight and great quality! It doesn’t come with a remote, so you’ll need to use the app. The colors are really nice and very bright, and you can fit it anywhere you want. My only complaint is the cable setup — you have to connect three of the six lights on one side only with the same connection cable. I wish each light strip had its own cable instead, because that would make decorating much easier and look a lot better.

Bought it for my son’s room and it completely transformed the space. The build quality is solid, the lights are bright, and the colors transition smoothly without any flickering. The setup was way easier than I expected and the functionality through the app is a huge win, tons of effects, great control, and it all works flawlessly. It’s surprisingly lightweight, which made installation simple, but it still feels premium. For the price, the value for money is excellent. Honestly, it also makes a great gift because it instantly upgrades any room and looks amazing day or night. Definitely worth it.

Very cool lights, with the app there's an endless variety of color sequence customization. My Wi-Fi doesn't work with it, I just run off Bluetooth, but this isn't an impediment at all. The app is pretty easy to set up & use. I've had them for a few months now & no issues. Useful as a desk lamp; I have an individual segment up over my desk. It can provide enough light to work in the dark up close like this, & the brightness is fully controllable. This is perfect since I have a terrarium right next to my desk & am up late with school a lot. I got my lizard little blackout curtains but the overhead lighting still got in the mesh top. This gives a nice, evenly distributed low light level over the desk at an angle that doesn't bother him :) I do wish control units were available for purchase independent of the lights. My current setup has 2 individual segments & 2 2-piece segments. As is I can only run 2 at once, would be cool to have just another controller so I could run em all. Or splitters so one controller can manage all of em. You can't put more than 3 in a row. I tried making 1 really long segment before I put em up, if you string 4 together the 4th won't light up.
