Miracle-Gro does not disappoint. Quality is very consistent and retains moisture well requiring less watering of plants. Would recommend.

The mix itself is great - besides orchids, many indoor plants like peperomia and ferns are epiphytes that prefer to be in a well-draining coarse mix such as this as opposed to an all-purpose mix, which decomposes too quickly for such plants to be truly happy. I combine this with equal parts Fox Farm Ocean Forest potting mix and all purpose sand. HOWEVER, I have gotten bags that were already infested with fungus gnats, which LOVE decomposing bark. I wish Miracle gro would either sterilize the mix or treat it with an organic insecticide like bacillus. I now always open a new bag outside and if there are gnats I let it bake in the sun, allowing it to completely dry out. I may try baking it in the oven, too, in a roasting pan. This would be to ensure that any eggs are destroyed. But I would note that I have also bought plain orchid bark and other kinds of potting mix that did not come with gnats. It’s only ever been a problem with this particular product.

This is the only mix I buy and I've had great luck with my orchids. It's an excellent value for the money. The orchid roots move easily through it, but this time I added some coarser perlite to it. There's a lot in the bags. My orchids are very happy and healthy.

This product was decent. It did seem to have a bit more finer matter than I wanted but I'm sure it will be fine.

The product seems fine but I found out I'd paid double what it was worth. Much cheaper in stores.

I am very happy with this product, came quickly, clean, easy to use & my damaged orchids are looking better already after just a week of being repotted in this potting mix!! Thank you!
