Small Size - Set Screws are tricky
I purcharsed these as a replacement for the large crank handle on my crank out windows, due to the fact that I have pull down blinds and the large single crank handle sticks out so far that I can't nicely pull down the blind to the bottom of rhe window. Here are my issues and why I gave these only 3 stars:1) The Set Screws... I had all kinds of issues with the set screws. I don't know if it's bad manufacturing or the way they are painted but the first one I took out of the package I couldn't get the set screw to turn. (I eventually got a bigger screw driver and was able to break the screw loose) I took out a second one and the set screw popped out while I was taking it out of the packagee. I waisted 40 minutes trying to get the set screw back in before I gave up. The third one was again hard to unscrew but I managed to unscrew the set screw and install it. So just a warning, you need a good screw driver with a grip handle on it. I have still not been able to reinstall the set screw on the second handle. What a hassle2) These are small. The ones I received measure just about 2 1/8 inches wide from tip to tip of the wings. They don't look correct when attached to the cranking block of a normal crank out window, they look out of proportion. I would have preferred something in the 3 to 4 inch range. I'd claim this is my bad for not reading all of the questions and answers, but I saw the item dimensions listed and assumed these were in the 3 to 4 inch range. The item dimensions listed are the dimensions of the package that contain the 4 handles, nothing to do with the items themselves. Seriously why can't you sellers clearly put the measurements that matted to the buyer, on your listings. They do seem to be metal and sturdy. I just install mine and haven't really tried opening the window (it's freezing cold here right now). If I have further issues with them breaking or not working in other ways, I will revise my review.

I can see why these rated so highly
These are perfect for my windows. I like the size. They are big enough to easily open and close the window, while staying out of the way of my blinds. Window crank mechanisms can be damaged by over-torquing the crank, so I like that these are not too big, reducing that risk. I thought about doing folding cranks, but these are much cleaner and nicer, which is reflected in the reviews. One note is that I had no issues at all with the set screws. It's true that they are painted in place, but they broke free easily. All in all, a big thumbs up.

They're OK, but of mediocre quality
These cranks don't fit my Anderson windows very well. They definitely look like 'replacement parts'.And, the set screws have to be very tight, otherwise they slip on the shaft. And, the metal of the set screws is too soft -- more than half of them stripped (at the screw-head) while tightening.

Solves the problem
When your windows have the manufacturers large 4" to 6" cranks, these are the perfect solution - I call them "toggles". They are the solution for allowing blinds to drop to the sill without getting caught/lifted by the crank, verticals to close uniformly without catching on the protruding 4" to 6" crank. The toggles are especially important for any window where the window treatment is an "inside installation" - which is often the case when windows are recessed allowing for any decorative/privacy treatment to be neatly installed "inside" - and therefore, not protruding into the room.I've always used white matching the trim. However, they're easily painted if color is the answer. And brown is available for wood trimmed windows.Delivery came quickly. "Toggles" are definitely the answer to windows with crank handles.

Works fine nice product
Great alternative to fold down handles which break quite easily. Works fine and small enough to stay out of the way. Great price for a 4 pack. Installs in seconds. Have just installed but seem strong enough that they will last.

For best results, use a very well-fitting screwdriver (do not ...
Really 4.5 but taking off a half star because some of the set screws were hard to loosen up. They paint the cranks with the set screw in place which means the paint can bind the set screw. For best results, use a very well-fitting screwdriver (do not use a screwdriver that is too small!) to loosen. Other than that these work great to provide clearance for blinds.

Small, but dits perfect
Easy to install, fit very nice. They are small but with my βAndersonβ windows they are easy to open. I really got them so my toddlers in my bay window didnβt mess up the longer handles. They did the job!

Not perfect, but best solution to the problem I've found
Much better than the large handles that came with our windows which prevented the blinds from extending fully. Easy enough to install that my teenager could do it. However, as low profile as these are, they still don't allow the blinds to lie perfectly flat.

Work well, but cheap lock-screw causes it to skip on the keyway after a while.
The cranks work well, but have a cheap lock-screw that strips and causes the crank to skip on the keyway after a while. For the price it's not a big deal to just replace it every 6 - 12 months. Alternatively, be very gentle with the amount of torque that you apply when closing the window.

The best
I bought new blinds and was wanting to protect them from the handles on my crank out windows. I was ery sceptical when I saw how little these butterfly handles were. I screwed them on last year. They do not catch my blinds. They have not loosened. And they are very very easy to open and close the windows. They provide enough pressure to get a tight close for the lock. Surprised but pleased!

Perfect
My cranks on my windows were handles that popped out to open and there were always in the way and my blinds never sat properly, these cranks are awesome, very easy to install and look great!
