IS there an efficient way to mount these into a server rack?

It is set up to be an independent rack. However, I mounted mine but drilling holes in the base.  It can be done but it voids the warranty

Is it safe to mount a power supply on a piece of wood with this hddrack5 rack? if so which power supply wood be best for this?

Sure. Not the best option, but..... I use 500, 650 and 700 power supply's, depends on the total stuff being plugged in. Add up all the amps and choose with at least 20% greater capacity.

does this come with the brackets to mount your hard drives in it?

The 20 screws are designed as a 'T' where the top of the T slides into a groove in the sides of each rack. A push pull button on both left and right side for each drive secures the drive so it wont accidently slide out.  The rack works great.  I have two that are stacked together to make a tall 10 drive rack.

How do you connect to a computer?

You don't!  You simply place 1-5 Hard drives in it & then hook it up to a spare (Or separate) Power Supply unit.  It uses the same "Primary" connector cable from the power supply, so you can't use it from your initial p/s inside your computer case (It would currently be supplying power to your computer's MoBo). You don't need anything fancy in the way of a PSU, since it's only powering up the chassis fan that comes with it...and however many HDD/SSD's you have mounted in it.  Me personally, i built an entirely separate case/housing unit from scratch...added a cheap PSU & this 5-Bay unit, then bought SATA to USB adapters for each HDD in the 5-Bay tower. I then ran all of them into a 5-port USB hub...and from the hub, over to my computer.  Kinda like a JBOD setup (5 HDD's going into one 5-port USB hub turns it into 1 giant HDD....kinda'). If you do this, you really need to let each HDD read "Separately" after you plug each into the USB hub...not all at once!  That's all the advice i gots!
