This is just too cute. The hammock material seems to be a cotton like material. (the product description says 'featured velvet'. This is not velvet. The product pictures makes it look like fleece, but it's not fleece, either.), so, minus a star for that issue. The size is ok; it's meant to hang in a pet crate. The corners have sling-like edges and four clip like hooks to fasten to the crate corners. We don't have a crate like the picture, so we fastened it under a chairs' legs, using zip ties to fasten them to the chair legs. Voila! The cats couldn't wait to check it out. Natasha used it right away; Darth, not so much (he couldn't fit; he's a bit 'fluffy' in the middle, and once he got in and figured out he couldn't get all of him in it, he backed out..LOL. May as well put Natasha's name on this one, it's hers now. Darth just lays nearby, giving her the stink eye. We received this discounted item in exchange for a fair and honest review. Cute. My cats love this! Hammock is made out of soft fleece, which makes it extra attractive for cats. It is well made. Comes with the four hooks, to hang it up. The only problem is, that you need a place to hang it up. You either need a crate, or you have to build some kind of construction to hang this hammock up.Received this item at a discounted price for an honest and unbiased review.

This hammock is extremely soft and would be comfy for any pet. It's seems a little small for my cat but he likes it regardless. The only thing I would change about it is it should be a little sturdier and have stronger clasps. I do worry about them eventually giving out under the weight.I did received this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review.
