How long will it work?

Ah..can tell ..depends on kids..but yes its lifespan not short.

The reviews are really mixed....are the pen working properly or not???

The pens that were delivered to me are working well. For the first time, the felt part should be pressed gently to help flow the ink and we can see that the ink is getting filled in the felt part and the pens are good to go. I hope this helps.
