Small but precise, and very sharp out of the box
I read a review of this tool cautioning that it was smaller than expected, and I was prepared for that. When I received it I was still surprised at how small it was, and felt disappointed. However now that I've used it a few times I am happy with, and like the small size. It's very sharp right out of the box and makes a very nice cut. The fluted design works great and makes a perfect cut with no grain tearing. I've used it to part off a 3" - 3-1/2" turning with no problem. It works on end grain very well also, when establishing the rim of a box or box lid.

Good parting tool
Very nice parting tool. I needed a very thin tool to do segmented parting and this tool does a great job. I did have to round over the sharp edges so it wouldn't bind up, but it does a great job!

Light weight
I've used this parting tool a few times now. It's very small and narrow and light weight. If you are making tiny projects I think you might like it, but I don't like it. I'll look for something else a little more substantial.

Okay for the money
This is a good chisel for the money. It was smaller than what I wanted, but for small wood pieces it works well.

Nice tool
I needed a finer parting tool than what was in my tool box. This one fits the bill well. I am not certain how it will work on a large piece. On medium size turning (4in or smaller) works very well.

Perfect Little Cut-off tool
This is a very small tool used to part projects on a wood lathe. For my application it is just the right size.

Worked for almost a Minute
The tool seemed to cut reasonably well but within the first minute the too short tang broke through the ash handle. This should only be used for the lightest of duty like pens or bottle stoppers. It was sold through a third party so the return process was a bit more onerous than the usual Amazon protocol.
