Does a pretty good job
In testing this device has successfully logged the temperature over periods of upto 36 hours and produced meaningful reports: a PDF reporting settings, a full list of temperatures at the selected intervals and a graph. I have some minor quibbles:1. The device will only hold data for one session. When recording is started any previous data is deleted.2. The external sensor is integral with the USB cover meaning that if you want to use the internal sensor without the external hanging about then the USB connector is exposed.3. The information enclosed was not explicit about where to find the PC app used to adjust the settings. Some guess work was involved.4. The data logging is wasteful in that it records the temperature at regular intervals when it need only record when it has changed.None of these quibbles is really important to me but you may find the information useful.

Cheap, simple, clear and effective
I bought this to monitor temperatures in a large walk-in freezer coldroom (roughly 100 cubic metres). The only issue I had was Coudflare flagging the Elitech download link as unsafe or something like that, but I managed to get round that switching to a different browser. Once the program was downloaded I was instantly able to access data from the device. It's very simple to operate, the data is displayed in a clear and easily understood format (graph or list view) and there is nothing overly complicated about changing settings such as parameters etc. This little gizmo gives me a detailed, ongoing picture of my system's performance and is well worth the £25 outlay. Glad I bought it, definitely recommend it.

Simple but does what is supposed to do.
This appears an accurate and simple logging thermometer. The resulting graph is simple to interpret.. what more could you ask for?The instruction manual is useless. To first time configure the time and date you need the software. This is not obvious nor in the manual. For Apple Macs you need to download from the AppStore: ElitechLog. ( Do not look for it on the Elitech website as that has loads of drivers you don't need.) Once you run the app the Logger will be recognised and you can change the time and sampling time.In use it is simple and the pdf log appears to view when plugged into a computer.

Good temperature logger
Works well. I used it to double check the temperature in a cold store for scientific purposes. No app needed to view the data: the logger is visible as a USB disc and a PDF report is waiting in the folder to be viewed once the logger is connected. You can also use a dedicated app to download/view data on your PC. You can start/stop the logging and adjust time interval from the app.

This Logger is RUBBISH
Don't buy one of these loggers, buy a Freshliance instead. i bought an Elitech logger at Christmas last year and used for 3 days and it worked fine. Then somehow the serial number in the logger was changed and didn't match what the data software thought it should be. How that happened I have no idea, but the serial number cannot be changed by the user. I got in touch with Elitech and they were slow but helpful and sent me an App to be able to change the serial number, which didn't work. I contacted support again a couple of times as they seemed to be forgetting me. The last time was 17 April 2024 when they said they would get back to me. They haven't, so I give up. I need a couple more loggers and will buy from Freshliance. And of course I have to give a minimum of 1 star, but that is only so I can write this review.

Good quality and price
The Elitech RC-5+TE USB Temperature Data Logger does what it says on the box. I used this to record the temperatures on the Flow and Return side of my under floor heating system to see what the temperature drop is. When you get these, download the app which is noted in the instructions and plug them into your laptop. The app will then allow you, through the settings, to set the time between when logging events. I did two tests, one using 10 second intervals and another using 2 minute intervals. You need to decide for your application what to use but the intervals can go up to over an hour. The battery comes with the logger and they say it should last for at least a year with constant use. I love the graphs the app gives you as well and the list of data items. You can load this into Excel to do further analysis..

Very good piece of kit
This is compact and surprisingly accurate (±0.5°C up to 60°C, ±1°C thereafter) and for the money unexpectedly good. The data logger feature is better than hoped. Load free software on to you PC and then just plug your logger in (USB) and a full report with chart is automatically generated.Superb and very useful.

Simple, Good Value
This does what it says on the tin and unlike many leading brands of data 'buttons' you can replace the battery on this one.The paper instructions were very terse. It was not obvious how or where to get the software onto your pc which you really want. Once I found the detailed YouTube video all became clear and the install and functionality were fine.It was also not clear from the sellers photo what cabling you need to connect to your computer. You don't need any it just plugs in like a regular data stick.
