Another action-packed Gray Man assassin thriller you may want to check out.
Lately, I have become quite a fan of “The Gray Man” series by Mark Greaney, and I just finished reading this 730 page paperback edition (Back Blast) and found it to be an exciting page turning ride. The author has the ability to pull you into the story so that every chance you get to keep reading the novel keeps you busy. In this 5th volume Court Gentry has been able to sneak back into Washington where he is determined to find out about the men involved in his former agency (CIA) who sent him on his last mission.I never give away too much information when reviewing any novel, but if you are a fan of the Gray man series, you may want to check out this fantastic action packed story.Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Hanbo-Jutsu: How to use the Hanbo, walking stick, cane and baton for self-defense).

Gray Man Comes Home
Do you love an in depth story with twists and turns, with plenty of dialogue and action? Then this series is for you.Back Blast is pretty much tied with book 4 Dead Eye, maybe slightly better. The Gray Man comes home to find out why he is being targeted by the CIA. This will be hard to do in the Nation's Capitol with many security cameras, etc to avoid. But the Gray Man knows how to outplay the system. We finally learn why Court is targeted and it was due to Operation Back Blast, which happened 5-6 years prior to this.Greaney has really grown the characters, and done a great job of weaving a solid story. There are a few grammatical/geographical errors, but with a 700+ page book, you can overlook it.I really love this one as its back in the U.S. and parts of it take place in North Carolina, but most of the setting is in/around DC.Given the thrillers I've read from Brad Thor and others, some of the stuff that happened in this book, were easy to predict, but did not detract from the overall book.

Great book.
I enjoy the Grey Man series and this is hopefully not the last one. I also like Mark Greaney as an author. Thanks.

Absolutely fantastic
This author can write! He is one of the top thriller writer out there and I love his books and The Gray Man. I've fallen in love with Court Gentry. These books have so much action my head spins. I end up staying up way too late at night reading that I can barely focus on the words but can barely make myself put the book down and go to sleep. I also like the way Greany writes. He is a master. One caveat thought that most thriller writers do that spoils alot of the fun for me is the totally excessive use of profanity, especially the awful F word. Come on, it's sickening how many times it's used per page. It's nonsense that the author has to do this. It's like nude scenes in a movie that have nothing to do with the story , they're just there for for the fools who get off on that. Neither Lee Child nor Clive Cussler use profanity and they are hugely popular so no one can tell me it can't be done. I spend a lot of time going through each page and inking out all the F and the really bad M F words. I wish publishers would put out two versions of the books, one without the profanity and I guess one for those who use filthy language in their daily lives. Aside from that I love the action and the stories. I also love how the stories in each book continue from the last book. You get to know more and more about the Gray Man with each new book.

Over the top spy story
Some of the situations were a bit too "mission impossible". But is IS a thriller.

The Gray Man Is One-of-a-Kind!
I've enjoyed reading the entire series from author Mark Greaney. He has a very unique talent for providing suspense, unique missions and an ability to get the job done. Greaney knows his genre cold, much as John Le Carre did earlier in his career. While George Smiley and other Le Carre charracters were brainiacs in sniffing out traitors and following Cold War spies from other countries, Greaney's character is a run-and-gun shooter. From sleeping in closets to saving most of the damsels he comes in contact with, Court Gentry is a terrific character. I've just purchased Sierra Six, the latest Gray Man hard book released within the last few weeks. Can't wait to dive in. And, Netflix will release the new Gray Man TV series, featuring Ryan Gosling, this summer! I hope the mention of Netflix doesn't get this review nixed by Amazon :-)

One hell of a ride
I very much enjoyed this story. It gave a background of the main character which was interesting. It also shows him as a vulnerable man. Interesting especially in his line of work. Someone who sticks to his principles and really gives a damn about the United States. I just ordered the next book in the series. I would recommend this to anyone cought up in good spycraft novels. You are right there with him, fast moving and a terrific ride. A+❗
