C5 Corvette LS Metal Housing Quality Yup
This is a factory replacement for a C5 Corvette. Aluminum main body with different/ upgraded? hydraulic connections. Benkyo O'shimasu! (Japanese for study your stuff...) I installed this after the original slave blew its guts out. Here's why... The vehicle it went into is a 1988 Volvo 244 sedan. The engine in the car is a 2001 GM LR4 (DBC 4.8 Vortec) The transmission is an NV3500 from a 2003 4.3 V6 2wd 5spd S10 pickup rated for just under 400 ft/lbs... The NV3500 was mated to the 4.8 Vortec in 1/2 ton trucks, circa early-mid 2000's vintage. It all bolts up. Factory clutch slaves installed in those 1/2 ton pickups with the 4.8 had plastic main bodies. My Volvo is a track car. Road racing and Drift competitions. Likely runs high 12 second 1/4 mile times with a 3:31 rear differential ratio. On a good tune, it's a brilliant car. (Scary factory volvo Dana30 variant) [Ford 8.8 is in the making with 3.73s and 4.10s (spooled)] I cant afford a TKO600 or a T56 variant. Running the V6 S10 NV3500 gives better gear ratios compared to the 1/2 ton pickup NV3500 5spds. 1st gear in the pickups had a low ratio/lesser torque rating. 2nd gear may have been different too. I dunno, I didnt need it so I didnt try to put it to memory. Super high rpm gear changes (4k-6.5k), 2step launches at 3,000 rpm, a factory 1/2 ton truck plastic housing slave cylinder wont hold up. Absolutely not. How is it that I know? My cousin got married. So I drove the track car to/fro. Did a launch for my dirt track driver/NASCAR nut of an Uncle while being 200 miles from home. Plastic housing slave blew out. I shut the engine off 1 time driving it home aside from getting gas. Got the car home and up on jack stands. Pulled the motor/trans as one unit. Out the plastic crap clutch slave cylinder went. The main spring (which is inside the unit) was outboard the plastic main housing. Fluid poured right through it. I put this slave in, the C5 hydro thowout/slave cylinder with a metal housing.... I'm not worried about hydraulics. I'm worried about the NV3500 holding up. Real good unit folks provided your application an fitment.

Great replacement
Installed this slave cylinder in a newer style GM NV3500 transmission, no problems with fitment, it actually worked with the old style clutch off a 80 Gm small block chevy, and it works like a hot dam. only thing i noticed is that its a stiff petal, but that's probably due to the pressure plate.
