I’m really impressed with this ColorChecker Passport Photo 2! It’s compact and travel-friendly, yet packs in everything I need — gray-balance, white-balance, classic 24-patch color reference, and creative enhancement targets. Using it with the included software and Lightroom plugin made setting custom camera profiles easy, and the color and white balance accuracy across different lighting conditions is noticeably improved. Whether I shoot portraits, landscapes, or mixed lighting scenes, I now get consistent and true-to-life colors, which makes editing much easier. Highly recommend this for any photographer who cares about getting professional-quality color and consistency from shoot to edit.

It’s stiff when it comes to opening and closing it. Over all. A very great product.

After using it per all instructions, I found it accurate. It is a little 'clicky' to open and close, but that even have a purpose. I did find that a not easy to find 'properly calibrated with documentation showing it was calibrated' Grey card works just as well because it gave exactly the same cor calibration of my camera with lens as this one. The difference is that this one is enclosed, thus shielded from grime and fading,and should last way longer.

Not much to say.. it’s a great product. If used on a regular basis you’ll want to replace it every year or two to ensure you have the most accurate colors and no faded squares. Do not touch the squares with your bare fingers, the oil can damage it.

Must have item for any serious photographer. Allows for accurate color calibration by simply holding it near the subject's face. Grey card also included for accurate white balance adjustment during post processing.

I agree with many of the other reviews that the casing is flimsy and cheap and the hinges are rickety. That is manageable if it is handled carefully but for $120 you would expect something a little more substantial. A fatal shortcoming is the software and documentation. Virtually no documentation came with the device and the online documentation was overly complex and confusing. There were about 8 or ten versions of the software that could be downloaded and it takes a long time to figure it out, even then you are not sure. There were many, many, many pages of legal documentation, warnings and disclaimers. The instructions for installing were literally only four lines long. Someone wrote that the menus were intuitive, I would say they are incomprehensible. I don't know if it ever got itself integrated into photoshop, I do know when you try to use it, it gives you no idea what it is doing. It finished you don't know if the setting have been applied to the photo, whether it made a separate copy, you don't know where the edited files are stowed or even if it did anything. The conventions used do not seem to follow standard window conventions The online website is all marketing and legal, support info virtually non-existent. I would like to give it a 2 but have to rate it a one star since I haven't got ANYthing out of it yet.

Zawiasy ciężko chodzą. Przy otwieraniu i składaniu muszę używać dużo siły.... przez to mam wrażenie, że obudowa zaraz pęknie i się zepsuje.

Perdí mi antigua tarjeta hace cinco años y la echaba mucho de menos, pero su precio es elevado, así que tuve que esperar mucho tiempo antes de poder comprarme otra. La adición de la tarjeta de grises del 18% (en la nueva versión 2) es de agradecer: antes llevaba una tarjeta de grises mucho más grande además del viejo ColorChecker Passport que tenía antes; ahora ya no tengo que hacerlo. Si para ti es importante obtener una reproducción del color lo más natural y precisa posible en tus fotos, pero también quieres una solución que puedas llevar en el bolsillo, ésta es la solución. Cuando lo utilices con el software Calibrite (renombrado X-Rite), te sorprenderá la diferencia que marca. Tuve la suerte de conseguirlo a un precio de “Oferta Flash”.

I secured a job photographing some art work, this was a great purchase to ensure colour accuracy. Very portable great quality and functions very well. Just follow the simple instructions. I was able to reproduce prints of the art work (with the right printer) much more accurately than the professional print places they tried.

De kaart is niet goedkoop maar nog juist betaalbaar. Ze is zeer goed gemaakt. Voor het maken van een cameraprofiel, om bijvoorbeeld in Adobe Lightroom te gebruiken, moet de foto die men van de kaart maakt worden belicht met licht van de exact juiste kleurtemperatuur en kleurenspectrum, bv. professionele flitsers. Anders gaat het profiel kleurverschuivingen toepassen wat het tegendeel is van het beoogde doel. Voor een amateur is het kleurprofiel maken dus gemakkelijker gezegd dan gedaan. Voor een professionele fotograaf of voor iemand die gebruik kan maken van zulke flitsinstallatie, geen probleem.
