Solid suction if you follow the instructions. Before buying this soap holder I tried in vain to find out if it would fit on a standard 3x6 inch subway tile. It does (see photo). For anyone who wants to know the diameter of the actual suction cup (not the metal cover), it is 2-5/8". Not sure why the manufacturers of these things don't include this measurement in the product specifications.

I purchased the soap dish for my shower in January of 2022. This past month (almost a year later), the suction weakened and the soap dish fell off of the wall. I noticed on the product description that the suction cups could be replaced FREE OF CHARGE by contacting the seller. I sent an email to Gecko-Loc describing the situation. They said they'd send a replacement and within a few days, two new suction cups arrived by mail. The soap dish is the perfect style for my bathroom and I'm so impressed with the quality of the customer service. I will definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for accessories! Amazon keeps suggesting I should buy another one. I don’t need to buy another one, because my original one from 10 years ago is still perfect! But I caved and bought a few more for relatives.This is the last soap dish you’ll ever need. Holds hard to old tiles (it’s never fallen!), and then removes with no problem when you want to remove it. The bars do get caked with soap after time, but it’s easy to pick off. It’s also easy to remove the dish without removing the suction cup the whole way, if you want to wash it like that. Just perfect.

I bought 3 suction soap dishes and this one was my favorite when I ordered, my least favorite when I compared them side by side. It was the heaviest of the 3, but the suction power on these things is amazing, so not a show stopper. What bothered me about this one was the part that comes in contact with the shower wall had no cushion/rubber stopper and the other 2 I purchased did. It was just metal meets the shower wall and I think over time it would scratch or mar the wall if bumped. In the end, I really like the rubber stoppers on the others, so this one got returned.

Whoever designed this did a great job. It’s sturdy and sticks very well. Best of ever used.

This product is exactly what I've been looking for. I'm sure you all have experiences this. You get something to put up in your shower that relies on a suction cup to adhere itself. It works great for the first week, month, 2 months, but then it starts to fall. Randomly in the night, crash! You re-adhere the item. and a week later, crash! Again you re-adhere it. This time you make sure you clean the surface well. Despite your efforts a day later, CRASH. #$%#&^%%#@ You are so angry!I've been there, but not again. This item uses a flat cup. As you tighten the device, it pulls on the inside of the cup and creates the suction. I am confident that this device is not coming down, until I want it to. I didn't quite get it, when i was setting it up. As I tighted it up, the lightbulb lit. Aha! This is exactly what I'm looking for!You won't be disappointed!

The suction cup would not hold it adequately so I tried the adhesive puck that comes with it. This held less than one day. I reached out to the seller who did nothing for me.

I love this soap dish! My entire bathroom is finished in tile, so added extra fixtures is a little tricky. My tile has a flat surface that is semi shiny (not matte, not glossy, just in between). The soap dish arrived secured in a box with easy to follow instructions. I did not have any issues installing the soap dish on my shower wall. The total installment only took a couple of minutes.Since installation, the soap dish has not budged. It has been sprayed with water repeatedly through many showers and still remains secured to my wall. The finish matched my oil rubbed bronze fixtures in my bathroom, too.The overall size of the dish accommodates various size soap bars, including handmade.After I made my purchase, the customer service team was kind enough to send an email that offered even MORE detailed instructions, as well as tips and troubleshooting.I'm very happy with this soap dish and look forward to exploring more products in this series.
