Performing as promised
I had one of these "Damp Chasers" under my piano in Florida and I never had a problem with the wood, soundboard, keys, etc in my piano. Now that I live in NC, where it is also damp, I decided to try onein the master bedroom closet. New construction homes aren't built with a/c vents and intake vents everywhere they should be, so I was concerned about mildew accumulating on shoes, etc. So far, no signs of mold or mildew and our clothes smell fine. We do run the a/c most of the time, but I feel an addedlevel of safety using this Damp Defender. I highly recommend this product.

Dampness defender heating rod for piano
Heating Rod was easy to install in bottom of piano. I would recommend it for those wanting to help prevent piano keys from sticking in standard pianos located in humid areas

Best closet anti-mold heat bar
Live at the beach so a must-have to ensure leather shoes and clothing do not mold in closets. Gave 4 stars due to cost.

Effective at controlling closet mildew
I knew I had a problem when I discovered mildew all over a pair of leather boots stored inthe mudroom closet. I'd seen information on the Dammp Chaser before and I figured it was time to try it out. I measured the two mudroom closets (the other housed washer and dryer) and ordered one for each. Very simple to screw the two brackets at the baseboard and attach the rod. Each closet has an electrical receptacle already so it was simple as well to just plug in the cord. I leave them plugged in all year round so in the winter it helps to dry out damp shoes and coats. I did not notice any spike in my electric bill so I assume their cost effect was minimal.

Awesome product!
I highly recommend it. I use it where I store my cameras and lenses. The humidity stays at the lowest when it's on.

Good buy and fast delivery
I wanted to replace it with my old dehumidifier for my piano, but the old wasn't broken. The purchase comes with two rod holders to have it installed in a wardrobe or bathroom. A warranty card was also included.

Low heat, not enough
Doesn’t heat at all. A friend told me that this was the solution to humidity on his closet, but I buy this brand instead the gold one and definetely this one doesn’t do the job. After that I order the gold american ones and the difference is huge!!!,Save your money, very not enough heat rods.
