Just how i remembered as a kid mostly. The black area for the pegs is 8in wide and 6 3/4in tall. There are templates they can use and plenty of pegs. Takes 3 AA batteries that do not come with it. My only issue was finding the on switch which is literally the size of a quarter and black right on the back. Push button to change light from steady to flashing and off. Bought 2 on prime deals for gifts, such a steal. Great kids gift. Fun and not really a screen. They can free hand pictures too.

This makes a great gift. I know it will be fun to play with. I had one as a child and I loved it. This is going to be Christmas gift. I don’t know any facts about it. I’d say you could take it with you on vacation. It’s very thin.

As an '80s kid, I was so excited to relive my Lite-Brite memories... and then I opened the box. 😄 This isn't exactly the Lite-Brite many of us grew up with. Instead of sliding in paper templates and pushing the pegs through to reveal a glowing picture, this version is battery-powered and comes with picture guides that you recreate by placing the pegs yourself. It works, but it's definitely a different experience. One thing parents should know is that this design is a little more challenging for younger children. Since they have to constantly reference the guide while placing each peg, it requires more patience, focus, and back-and-forth than the original. Younger kids may need some help getting started, while older children will likely enjoy the challenge. Once I got past the nostalgia, I found it to be a fun, creative activity. The lights are bright, the pegs are colorful, and it's a nice screen-free toy that encourages creativity and fine motor skills. My child enjoyed making the designs, even if I couldn't help reminiscing about "the good old days." If you're buying this expecting the exact Lite-Brite you remember, you'll definitely notice the differences. But if you're looking for a modern take on a classic that still provides hours of creative fun, it's a solid choice.

It's kid. The paper is a bit tough to push the legs through. I wish it came with storage for the pegs and templates. I guess we just leave it in the box? The light works fairly well but it can be tricky with the multiple modes, though props to the multiple modes. Overall for the price and experience, it's adequate. Definitely could be better.

Yo recuerdo haber jugado con los pinchitos clásicos cuándo era pequeña, así que se lo regalamos al peque de 2 años para jugar con él. Le gusta mucho, porque es muy llamativo y capta su atención. Es de fácil manejo, y le ayuda a ejercitar "la pinza", trae 6 plantillas para copiar dibujos que le vendrán muy bien a su hermano mayor. Los materiales son de calidad, y las luces tienen varias posiciones, todas encendidas, van cambiando las que encienden, parpadean todas... depende de las veces que le des al botón.

It's out of the norm kind of game and makes a great gift! Highly recommended.
